Role Description: Responsible for the day-to-day operations. L2 team members responsible for working on issues escalated from L1 team. Coordinate with NOC teams/customers and resolve the technical issues that arise in databases. Technically must be able to understand the issue with good knowledge in database technologies, both on prem and cloud. Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the position include:

• Expertise in design, implementation, Administration of SQL server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012,2014,2016,2017 & 2019.
• Hands on experience in configuring & trouble shooting High availability such as Always on & SQL cluster.
• Preparation of project execution roadmaps for SQL server/Database Migrations, Upgrades
• Datacenter-Disaster Recovery Setup implementation for Microsoft SQL projects
• Designing database Backup and recovery strategies for SQL Servers for client environments
• Production support to business and internal functions to ensure smooth operation of business
• Setting up maintenance plans for backups, Database integrity check, re-indexing.
• Verify status of Scheduled jobs, database backups, Review database sizes and growth settings.
• Experienced in deploying CRF’s on production environment.
• Hands of experience in creating azure SQL databases.
• Hands of experience in configuring and troubleshooting replication, mirroring & log shipping.
• Experienced in to resolve blocking, deadlocks & fragmentation issues.
• Hands on experience in Query tuning.
• Check SQL server connectivity in network, verify disk spaces for database files, monitoring SQL server logs.
• Perform backup verification by test restore to align with backup & recovery strategy.
• Hands of experience in to prepare SQL inventory.
• Experienced in configuring automation scripts for optimizing SQL performance.
• Experienced in SQL alerts and notifications.
• Maintaining & implementing server objects like creating new logins, mapping logins, creating new DB users
• Database migration for critical applications from Windows 2008 R2 based SQL 2012 cluster to Windows 2012 R2 based SQL 2014 cluster.
• Administration of client SQL servers, Production databases, DB fine tuning and performance tuning
• Creating HLD, LLD, Pre-requisites, Checklist, SOP, AS-IS documents for SQL and Windows infra projects
• Knowledge in cloud database technologies (PaaS) like RDS, MSSQL PaaS, SQL Elastic pool etc.
• Hands on experience to create azure PAAS databases, logins, LTR backups, blob storage, audit log & diagnostics metrics.
• Hands on experience on MYSQL database creation, performance tuning, configuring backups and index creations.
• Good knowledge on configuring and troubleshooting SQL backups to cloud storage, and database backup encryption.

• Multiskilling – Microsoft SQL, Virtualization, essential knowledge on Storage, Networking, OS
• Hands on experience in Microsoft Windows Hyper-V Virtualization platform
• Configuration of Microsoft Hyper-V to create & maintain virtual machines on x86-64 systems running Windows. Configured System Centre Virtual machine manager 2012 R2 for centralized management.
• Datacenter consolidation (P2V,V2V) of 30+Servers
• Migration of active directory federation services from ADFS 2.0 to ADFS 3.0
• Migration of Microsoft Forefront Unified Access gateway to Web Application proxy (WAP)
• Set up new infrastructure for SQL Migration and Windows services migrations projects.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with corporate executives and technical teams. Proven Customer Consulting Experience.
• Good communication (Verbal and Written) skills which helps in the smooth interaction with users/customers.
• Good team player and able to follow team policies and processes.
• Willing to Work in 24*7 rotational shift.
