SQL DBA Band B2 Experience Minimum 4 5 years Job Summary The candidate will implement IT solutions and services with a focus on SQL database infrastructure and other components in a Microsoft Azure and on premises environment This position is responsible for day to day activities of SQL server based on overall system design for solutions of the organization Also provide support for the resolution of problems associated with cloud based solutions Also implement the MS SQL database management best practices and standards that would maximize the performance of the systems being managed SQL DBA Roles and Responsibilities Expert knowledge of database administration on distributed platforms Experience with setup configuration support of SQL Server 2008R2 2019 Experience on Cloud PAAS and IAAS SQL instance Azure AWS Expert knowledge of T SQL PowerShell scripting Expert in backups restores and recovery models Expert in configuring and all components of the MS SQL Core DB engine and SSRS SSAS SSIS Expert in Log Shipping Database Snapshots Database Mirroring and in Always On Strong skills in designing and delivering platforms to hosts SQL server covering HA and DR at Enterprise scale Experience in Azure SQL elastic pool single server managed instance Knowledge of active geo replication Well versed in taking DB Architecture level decisions e g planning disk space managing indexes backup restore enterprise level installations Patching and upgrades etc Expert in Clustering Active Active Active Passive Must exhibit in depth expertise in solving database contention problems dead locks blocking etc Must have expert hands on performance tuning including both query and server optimization Proficiency in implementing and utilizing supported features with SQL Server like in Memory Change Data Capture Change tracking Query Store Full Text Indexing Partitioning Encryption etc Knowledge of Database Monitoring with tools and must be familiar with ticketing incident management system Knowledge of the ITIL framework vocabulary and best practices Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments from development to mission critical production systems Configure and maintain database servers and processes including monitoring of system health and performance to ensure high levels of performance availability and security Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations Independently analyse solve and correct issues in real time coordinate with OEM for providing problem resolution end to end Refine and automate regular processes track issues and document changes Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours Preferred Certification MCSA SQL 2016 Database Administration ITIL
