Job Description


Roles and Responsibility To support Operations Head and MT, in providing thought leadership & developing overall operations strategy and direction, particular around people, talent and general management (business continuity and operations controls). To support Operations Head and MT, in balancing and coordinating delivery of business priorities spanning financial performance & reviews. To support Operations MT in capacity planning, lean process improvement to promote efficiency and scalability. Lead to drive the people and communication agenda of the overall the function. Strategy Support the Global Head and Biz Management Head in defining and executing on the strategic plans of the department as a whole, focusing initially on the GBS and country hub teams. Working across business areas and geographies to deliver on the desired outcome. Work with larger team to define and enhance the risk profile of the WM Operations function globally. Business Support WM Operations projects in the role of business analyst / project manager Establish and maintain effective systems and controls to monitor and direct the working of all businesses, functions and operations particularly on identified business critical issues. Support the department in various administrative activity such as BCP, office management, DOI version controls, risk register, etc. Work with WFE to ensure appropriate capacity planning and gaps. Delivery of People & Talent Agenda Work closely with business unit heads and HR in development of an overall Strategic People Agenda, which includes graduate program, engagement plans, CSRs , reward and recognition and nWoW. Building of talents bench strengths and highly engaged workplace and culture Assist Head of Biz Management in key people deliverables such as execution of top team agreed employee engagement plan. Alignment of individual performance management & productivity assessment of business units. Drive the My Voice action plans across the function with the rest of the operations support teams. Communications & Engagement Creating and executing communications plan for the function. Building stakeholder engagement materials including infographics, powerpoint packs, marketing publications. Assisting with logistics planning and co-ordination of engagement events with stakeholders, external visitors and business units. Stretched Projects Lead Strategic projects in line with business strategies as delegated by the WM Operations head. Key skills required The incumbent is a critical and strategic thinker, decisive and analytically minded, solution-oriented, user-focused and business-savvy with exceptional communication, collaboration, people and conduct management skills. They can successfully engage with many different personalities/ stakeholders and reach consensus when necessary. The incumbent must be reliable and proactive in delivering work products and engaging with different stakeholders. The incumbent must be meticulous and is able to organise data in a structured manner for presentation to a wide audience. The incumbent should have strong excel and data skills The incumbent should have relevant operations or banking industry knowledge gained in previous capacity.
