The Mgr Of, Engineering & product Delivery will own the capabilities around engineering & product delivery practices across the Global Logistics Product Domain. The role is responsible for establishing and executing the strategy, defining platforms/capabilities, building and leading cross-functional teams, and communicating to a large number of senior level stakeholders. This role will lead teams that will help with maturing various business and technical capabilities across the TJX India Office.

  • Partner with key stakeholders & IT leaders across all levels to drive solutions to meet business needs
  • Manage and lead multiple global modernization, engineering, QA, and DevSecOps teams for multiple product and technical domains in an Agile environment
  • Accountable for the end-to-end technical delivery of complex technical Epics, or technical aspects of larger Epics to achieve business outcomes that may span more than one product team or technical domain
  • Partners with various leaders within IT as needed to forge key agreements around solution approaches / designs and operating principles
  • Experience with a matrixed management organization
  • Holds accountability for technical oversight whilst executing through skilled engineers, inc. spend, governance & decision making within the Product Team(s)
  • Holds accountability for establishing and ensuring best engineering practices are followed/adopted for achieving operational excellence for business solutions (including QA and DevSecOps practices)
  • Reviews and approves requests for variances from standards
  • Accountable for creating and delivering an engineering roadmap for the assigned products, partnering with Business Stakeholders, Architecture, and Product Management to ensure alignment to Product Roadmaps, Business Strategies and Architectural standards
  • Acts as first point of contact for strategic requests from a technology perspective, and an escalation point for issues not resolved at a lower level in relation to the delivery of technical components
  • Serves as a liaison with other IT partners for technical matters relating to their owned products (inc. security related aspects)
  • Influence senior technology, product management, program management and business leaders to recommend solutions and articulate trade-offs that could span more than one product team / technical domain
  • Champions IT-driven initiatives amongst IT leadership to enable alignment to a technical roadmap or strategy
  • Responsible & accountable for structuring & sustaining both the Organization Structure and corresponding Value Delivery Network (Agile Teams)
  • Sets the vision for the function and ensures the team is comprised of highly skilled professionals who are empowered, engaged in continuous improvement, and invested in developing their capabilities.
  • Sponsors IT driven initiatives to enable alignment to a domain roadmap or improve operational efficiencies or business effectiveness.
  • Key point of escalation for team to remove blockers.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Responsible to build out a strong functioning team with product and engineering excellence to deliver on long term business capabilities.

Skills/ Knowledge:
  • Supply Chain or Logistics experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the solution delivery lifecycle including project management, business requirements, application development, testing, technologies/platforms, agile development methodologies, use of product team structures, and/or other applicable methodologies.
  • Strong champion of DevSecOps and Engineering practices.
  • Proven success in meeting business objectives/project goals and delivering technology - well organized individual able to hold people accountable for results.
  • Experience in building out a strong functioning team with product and engineering excellence to deliver on short term & long term business capabilities.
  • Experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies & public cloud platform is strongly desired
  • An enabler of DevOps mindset/approach for modernized and legacy systems to co-exist
  • Executive presence and excellent presentation skills a must.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at crafting a compelling, clear and objective case.
  • Span of Control (i.e. Direct/Indirect reports)
  • Leads team of 2 - 8 direct reports and 20-45 indirect staff (consisting of TJX Associates and contract staff; may include professional services teams) across multiple disciplines and geographies in the delivery of technical solutions over a wide variety of platforms.
Minimum Experience
  • Typically has 15 years prior experience in systems, business management or related field with at least 5 years leadership experience in technology and systems including HR responsibilities.
  • Experience managing a global function in a complex, multi-national corporate setting with geographically dispersed teams.
  • SAFe certification preferred. Experience with resource planning and management across multiple projects.
Minimum Formal Education
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in information systems, computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; Masters degree in related discipline a plus
