Mechanization Manager POSITION PURPOSE: Senior mechanization Manager will play a pivotal role in executing asset light APAC strategy, in creating mechanization ecosystem to further Bayer crop sciences position as leader in Agriculture. To address the small holder farmer pain points, this person will be planning and executing various mechanization test and learn to support the venture growth, by adopting best agronomy practices to increase the productivity and reduce labor. This could include equipment, digital tools, and technologies to ensure seamless integration of innovation into mechanization ecosystem. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To execute plans and strategies to support the Bayer Digital farming ventures growth and success, by designing and executing test and learn scenarios that provide mechanization and automation insights to stay at the forefront of industry trends. To work closely with Venture team, Digital product manager, Rapid prototyping team and Business design team to test digital tools for mechanization demand generation, demand aggregation, farmer ordering and execution. To partner with the field-based teams to conduct Test and Learn experiments that will drive adoption of mechanization at scale, increase the ease of equipment access to farmers and support vision of Bayer Crop Science in APAC. To work on building mechanization ecosystem by identifying service providers and operators who can offer the services to farmers, and to develop training program to ensure quality of mechanization service. To Identify and incorporate forward looking hardware technologies, including MEMS, GPS, sensor technology etc., with the aim of improving and aiding agronomy practices, increasing the efficiency of equipment use, and to address SHF needs. To keep track of emerging trends, competitor activities in mechanization, and farmer needs which will provide insights and new areas for partnerships with key OEMs, Start-ups, NGOs and FPOs. WHO YOU ARE: Bachelor\'s degree or Master\'s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field. More than 10 years experience in farm equipment manufacturing, business development or a related role. Proven track record in executing strategic plans, project management, and collaboration initiatives. Experience working with Agri service start-up, and exposure to equipment rental industry. (Experience in SAAS industry will be valued) Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
