If you would like some flexibility, then please discuss this with the hiring manager. Introduction: This role forms part of the dedicated service layer of PTS RTB structure. It requires experience in providing comprehensive application management for large scale and mission critical applications by adhering to ITIL processes and standards. The candidate is able to read/write code, automate solution, well versed with instrumenting and debugging of application / infrastructure. Knowledge of financial markets and various Investment Banking services, products and offerings to have a meaningful engagement with business stakeholders is preferred. One of the key aspects would be engaging with Senior RTB and BTB Managers & Stakeholders from F2B (Front to Back – Trade Lifecycle). Selected candidate will be directly accountable for managing and delivering Application Management services for PTS (MOR & Gemini projects) ensuring quality and timeliness of data and work on data linage across F2B. This will help build out strong team(s) in the required business units in PTS. Candidate will also be required to –

• Represent PTS RTB in various business forums in India/Globally. (for all F2B and data lineage initatives)
• Operate as per ITIL discipline and manage large transformation projects for Run The Bank (RTB).

What will you be doing?

• Manage large transformation projects for Run The Bank (RTB) which bring in optimal and efficient operation.
• Innovate with cutting edge Barclays approved technologies and tools to demonstrate efficiency gain by automation.
• Runs transformation and automation for PTS and work with other Business Units (BU) RTB Leads.
• Manage & Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless port-mortem and ensure effective permanent solution applied.
• Engage with other RTB Managers across the firm, explore existing technological solutions and apply them to their BU wherever possible.
• Works with Build the Bank, GTIS, Run the bank and Operations to identify manual tasks and automate.
• Strong communication and written skillset to engage with various senior IT stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach other team members across team/region.
• Define/develop team operating model and review developments done against target end-state.
• Define and ensure compliance for Data related NFR (across PTS) and engage build partners to on-board data set optimally (new) and improve existing.

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in information system or computer science or any equivalent
• Proven experience in working with structured and/or unstructured databases like Oracle, MSSQL
• Proven experience in scripting technologies like Python, Shell, Java, PHP, SQL, etc.
• Proven experience in working with Linux/Unix or Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of software programs/products related to Data warehouse solutions.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools like Autosys.
• Certified or excellent knowledge of ITIL practices.
• Knowledge of Lean Control process, and various stages of Agile Change life cycle.

Skills that will help you in the role

• Knowledge of or working experience in cloud technologies.
• Familiar with big data platforms like Hadoop, ETL tools like Informatica etc.
• Knowledge of IB Business – clear understanding of trade lifecycle with special focus on settlements, confirmations, recon flows.
• Hands-on with managing large size teams and proven people management skills.
• Working knowledge of Project management tools
• Preferred to have certified in any of these technologies like AWS or Hadoop or DevOps.
• Communication Skills - role demands to interact with various key stake holders and senior management for escalations, candidate should strong in verbal and written communication
