Purpose of the position
A critical leadership role to increase revenue and profitability by blending business strategy, analytics, project management and communication by working across all functions and interacting with clients, vendors and senior leaders in the country & region.

Drive awareness, conversion and loyalty along the customer journey through online and offline channels, thereby building DSM brand equity and thought leadership.

Position context


  • Supports technical, sales teams with regionally and globally aligned marketing communications

  • Ensure DSMs leadership position in the ANH industry in South Asia region

  • Contribute to DSM’s business results via projects and lead generation & management using a customer centric marketing strategy aligned with business goals

  • Develop and manage marketing programs, implementation and results

  • Manage marketing efforts for brand positioning as the Industry Leader

  • Proactively facilitate new business expansion

  • Participate to create high impact in the various assigned corporate initiatives ex. KAMPUS, Sustainability, Digitalization, Market Research etc.


Position content
Key areas of accountability/responsibility

  • Align & collaborate with business, business head, regional teams in executing the company’s marketing and communication strategy in order to support the business objectives & being within the applicable QESH structure and system thereby contributing to a safer and healthier workplace for the team.

  • Develop, implement and manage a cost effective and efficient organization of the account, with clear stakeholder maps and governance structure, including working processes, and systems

  • In-depth understanding of customer landscape across species segments- through Market insights, Market mapping, Customer Segmentation strategy, Account plans, Go-to-Market strategy, Communication strategy

  • Embed marketing and communications strategy, process, approach & execution mindset amongst entire Sales team in the organization

  • Develop and implement Species wise marketing plans- yearly development of plans, in line with market needs and requirements and in line with BG marketing and communications strategy, in order to achieve the business objectives

  • CRM pipeline management

  • Regular follow up & reporting of performance indicators in order to provide insight in business progress and facilitate timely decision taking by management

  • New Business Development Marketing studies for additional revenue generation

  • Develop target customers for specific products in the portfolio

  • Focus on acquiring and retaining new customers through the management of marketing programs including, advertising, webinars, tradeshows etc

  • Organizing marketing drives via technical seminars, webinars

  • Specific focus on certain key/strategic accounts to drive business results

  • Drive product specific campaigns- WhatsApp campaigns etc

  • Be an advocate for various global marketing campaigns Example- Sustainability

  • Develop a complete dataset on customers/competitors (comp.int.)

  • Drive digital engagement with customers

  • Manage the yearly cost budget for the marketing department

  • Product labelling strategy

  • Branding at plants

  • Responsible for various Marketing tools- brochures, yolk fans etc etc

  • Prepare marketing related presentation decks as support to Head of business

  • Prepare quarterly reports for the business

Additional MarCom accountabilities

  • Preparation, planning and execution of Yearly Business Kick Off Event

  • Organizing, planning and participation in various industry Trade Shows, Events, Conferences

  • Participation and organizing ANH product adverts in trade media/journals/magazines

  • Cross functional communications and collaboration

  • Promotion drives- through seminars/virtual webinars/information sessions

  • Responsible for Product Brochures and marketing tools

  • Responsible for Promotional items- new year gifts/souvenirs for customers

  • Gifts/Souvenirs for Team

  • Execution of new branding strategy across ANH SA


Projects/special assignments

  • South Asia and APAC Sustainability Champion


Knowledge and educational level

  • Degree in Science/ Engineering/ Veterinary etc plus MBA


Required level of experiences

  • 8-10+ years of relevant experience in marketing

  • Strong experience in project management and analytics

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
