Job Description

A is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of control and automation systems, including PLC, HMI, and VFD programming and troubleshooting. Key duties involve project management, technical evaluation of systems, ensuring safety and quality standards, managing a team, and overseeing project execution from technical and budgetary perspectives.
Technical responsibilities

• System management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of control systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Programming and modification: Program and modify new and existing automation systems.
• System development: Support the implementation and development of control and automation systems, including reviewing and approving electrical and control drawings.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues in automated systems and equipment.
• Power and electrical systems: Manage and maintain high-voltage/low-voltage systems, breakers, transformers, and MCCs.
• Calibration: Ensure the proper calibration of equipment, such as weighing systems.

Project and management responsibilities

• Project execution: Lead and coordinate project execution in industrial, power, or other related fields.
• Technical evaluation: Evaluate bidders and technical proposals for control and automation projects.
• Budget and scheduling: Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Team leadership: Guide and develop a team, including job allocation, performance evaluation, and skill enhancement.
• Compliance and quality: Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Documentation: Manage necessary documentation, including IMS documentation.
• Contracts and procurement: Participate in contract closure, invoice approval, and the procurement of necessary equipment.

Key skills and qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering is often required.
• Experience: Several years of experience in project execution, automation, and control systems are typically necessary.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in PLC/HMI/VFD programming and a strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation principles.
• Soft skills: Strong project management, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
