  • Critical Facility Manager Overview
The CFM supervises a team of technicians that are engaged in mission critical facility infrastructure systems Operations and Maintenance (O&M). The individual establishes performance goals, conducts periodic reviews, supervises training and conducts team-building exercises. The CFM schedules and supervises the performance of both routine and emergency service on a variety of state of the art critical systems, including but not limited to; medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, fire detection/suppression and building management systems. The CFM\xe2\x80\x99s entailed responsibilities also include the completion of performance reviews and the attention to maintain clear communication channels between all teams for constant readiness, ensuring that all tasks are performed in accordance to established practices and procedures. The CFM establishes performance benchmarks, conducts analyses and prepares reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance. The individual works with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects manage capacity and optimize plant safety and performance, reliability and efficiency. Responsibilities also include ensuring that detailed procedures are prepared and utilized for all work on critical facility equipment, maintaining a constant state of readiness in support of the mission goal of 100% uptime, and establishing a culture of excellence and constant process improvement.
  • At least five years of facility operations and maintenance experience.
  • Experience supervising a technical staff.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical distribution and emergency/standby power systems, HVAC systems, fire detection/suppression or monitoring/control systems.
  • Very good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Familiarity with computers and computer networking.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook
  • Responsible for the entire critical facility maintenance function.
The Critical Facility Manager provides single-point accountability for the entire critical facility operations and maintenance program, including maintenance planning, work supervision, and quality control functions. * Coordinates closely with counterparts inside and outside the organization.

The Critical Facility Manager coordinates with other departments and organizations to ensure that program objectives are being met. The CFM communicates closely with IT operations, project/construction engineering, real estate, accounting, purchasing, and other organizations as needed. * Promotes proper understanding of the maintenance function to other organizations.

The CFM educates other groups and organizations regarding the maintenance management program to foster understanding of the impact that their functions have on the capacity and reliability of facility operations. * Ensures that all supervisors, planners, technicians, and maintenance engineers are properly educated and trained.

The CFM ensures that education and training is taking place and that the entire maintenance organization\xe2\x80\x99s skills are kept up-to-date. * Takes responsibility for planning, cost control, staff activities, vacation planning, etc.

The CFM is responsible for the logistics and personnel management of the maintenance organization. The CFM administers the maintenance budget and ensures that the maintenance function meets its budgetary requirements. * Has responsibility for delegating assignments to the appropriate personnel.

The CFM ensures that the appropriate personnel are in the proper staff positions within the organization, and are capable of fully executing their responsibilities. * Qualifications for the ideal candidate:

Knowledge of LV/MV products, exposure on drive automation, panels, exposure of relevant services business mainly switchgear related, Customer handling skills, People Management skills, Negotiation Skills, Communication Skills, Leadership skills, Result / deadline oriented.
