The AIM (Analytics, Investment & Marketing Enablement) team \xe2\x80\x93 a part of GCS Marketing\xe2\x80\x93 is the analytical engine that enables Global Commercial business portfolio of American Express. Accelerating growth momentum, increasing profitability, and powering up our value proposition are key objectives for this organization. It is the analytical engine that powers profitable business growth through consultative and innovative solutions across GCS. AIM in India is a high performing team and strong partner to the Global Commercial Marketing business. The team enables GCS Marketing business by providing actionable insights to drive business strategy and growth. Incumbent in this role would work very closely with Marketing organization in Marketing space to provide meaningful analytics and actionable insights that help in creating growth strategies. The Analyst would perform campaign measurements, ROI analysis and enable the business by delivering key insights. How will you make an impact in this role? The position will be a part of AIM team supporting, GCS priorities and responsible for-
  • Measuring the impact of various Engagement & Retention treatment & reporting results to leadership, and providing strategic analytical support.
  • Partner with the functional partners in US as well as various cross-functional teams including Finance, Product, Risk, Capabilities to provide holistic data driven solutions for business needs.
  • Oversee a high performing team of analysts for measuring value of treatments across Sales, Tele and Digital channels and provide business recommendation to drive revenue growth and improve cost base.
  • Deliver scientific and accurate measurement by exploring and applying the right analytical technique.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams \xe2\x80\x93 Marketing, Acquisition, Finance, Data Capabilities and Product Team to deliver customer insights and develop innovative strategies. Be the key thought partner for the acquisition & engagement Strategic leaders across Commercial ensuring the broader organization\xe2\x80\x99s ability to achieve success both strategically and tactically.
  • Lead special projects that drive the GCS strategy forward.
  • Should have a proven track record of striking the best balance between providing detailed analytical support, people management, strategic thought leadership and managing relationships to influence strategies and business outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD/master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in quantitative field (e.g. Finance, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics and Economics) or MBA with quantitative background with 4 + years\xe2\x80\x99 work experience in Analytics
  • Good People Management skills, comfortable leading from front through ambiguity and creating structure and strategies in white space.
  • Understanding of experimental test vs control and read statistical reports
  • Strong relationship management skills with a proven track of positively collaborating and influencing internal/external partners
  • Strong analytical skills: Applying analytical thinking to diagnose business needs and to establish analytical hypothesis and solutions. Drive insights and recommendations through analytical solutions
  • Team player: Able to collaborate with partners and team members to define key business objectives, and to align on solutions that drive actionable items
  • Passion for data science and machine learning: Proven track record of independently developing novel analytical solutions optimizing business processes or product constructs
  • Knowledge of Hive, Python, PySpark, SQL encompassing data manipulation and statistical modeling/data-mining techniques
  • Strong communication skills enabling ability to interact effectively with business leaders and to present structured and compelling messages addressed to various levels within the organization
  • Should be comfortable with flexible shift timings to support Globally located Partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure situations with minimal errors
  • Proven track record for making sound business decisions, setting direction and managing both short- and long-term goals to achieve high quality results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of statistics preferred.
  • Work experience in relevant Industry & Domain is a plus
  • Excellent programming skills and comfort with data manipulation tools is strongly preferred
