: Role Objective We are looking for a passionate Engineer with strong techno-commercial skills &continuous improvement mindset. Candidate should have knack for research, diagnosis, troubleshoot and resolve application issues that improves Total cost of ownership (TCO) of customers. Candidate has to work closely with User/Maint. dept at Shopfloor to identify underperforming applications, study and implement alternate product solutions that improves uptime and brings down TCO. Candidate also has to work closely with Procurement function to identify alternate cost effective Brand/ products across Maint Spares that brings down MRO spend of customer. Role Responsibilities The Technical Services Manager is responsible for identification of opportunities across Applications and Alternate Brand parts that brings down TCO and results in lower spend on MRO procurement in a time bound manner and within scope. This position will follow the assigned work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Work with Maintenance dept. on underperforming applications and run field trials before getting alternate solutions approved by customer. Evaluate the impact of internal and external non-conformances and take a lead in problem solving activities, drive root cause and corrective actions with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances Collaborate with Supply Chain and engineering business value enhancement opportunities. EssentialFunctions/Responsibilities : Research, prepareand complete reviews that enables approval of alternate Brands/ Parts. Identify problems and make recommendations / solutions for completing all project objectives. Implement and maintain operating plans / strategies for each identified program. Responsible for resolution of issues related to the technical approval process. Understands ISO, ASA and regulatory requirements. Communicate progress and status to their Manager and appropriate departments. Has authority to act at his/her own discretion, with short-term review by EIR- Category. Ability to work directly with clients Mandatory Skills required to perform the Job: Should have worked in Maintenance dept in Shofloor of a manufacturing industry Working knowledge on various types of Mechanical applications and mechanical assembly procedures. Basic understanding & interpretation of mechanical assembly drawing. Proficient in problem solving tools like 8D& FMEA Basic understanding of test report, BOM interpretation, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), practiced at supplier end. Competencies: 1-Well organized, critical thinking, ability to analyze technical data. 2-Ability to work under pressure and on multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment. 3-Strong oral and written communication skills. 4-Sound technical judgment. 5-Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers. 6-Ability to maintain confidentiality about the company\'s activities and actions plans Work Experience Bachelor\'s engineering degree with Min. 5 years of relevant work experience in Maintenance dept in Metal, Power, Cement, Mining, Auto sector. Knowledge/ Skills Basic knowledge of Operation and Maint of Machineries Startup experience would be an added advantage High level of ownership, willingness to set up things from scratch Education B.Tech engineering degree in Mech/Prod/Industrial
