Job Purpose
Acts as Business System Owner of a portfolio of Systems and Applications within Sandoz Patient Safety. Responsible for improvement for Life Cycle Management of the Business System/Application in close collaboration with relevant Business Process Owners and key users to maximize business outcomes for Sandoz Patient Safety. Oversees operational technology teams, external and internal, in terms of operational performance of the technology portfolio, adherence to appropriate IT methods and configurations following change control and GxP Validation processes. Represents Patient Safety Technology & Data Management team during audits and inspections. Responsible for working with internal and external partners to implement cross-functional processes, technologies, solutions and services, supporting innovation in technology enabled Pharmacovigilance Operations to continuously improve and simplify Patient Safety organizational performance. Support design and implementation of a Patient Safety Technology & Data Architecture for seamless data operability between systems in Sandoz, incl. Pharmacovigilance related data transfers in the context of Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestments

Job Responsibility
Responsible for Life Cycle Management of portfolio of Systems and Applications in Patient Safety. Develops and maintains Systems Strategy and road map in close collaboration with Patient Safety Business Process Owners and key users.
Collaborates with IT and vendors to plan funding and budget for investments and on-going support of Systems and Applications. Supervises internal and external IT Teams providing services and support of Technology portfolio and serves as Single Point of Contact for Patient Safety users for Systems and Applications in portfolio.
Ensures Systems and Applications follow Sandoz or Vendor specific GxP and Validation processes. Represents Patient Safety Technology & Data Management team in audits and inspections, and ensures readiness for those across the portfolio.
Functions as domain expert for implementation of new technology solutions including internal resource management and communicating with other line functions. Proactively finds opportunities for improvement of Patient Safety business processes that are supported by technology. Solicits and anticipates future needs, requirements and direction for systems for Patient Safety.
Understands Patient Safety business requirements and identifies IT solutions to achieve Patient Safety Business Process optimization and simplification.Leads discussions with software vendors to resolve problems and develop solutions Leads or contributes to projects assigned to Technology & Data Management

Role Requirements

Education:
Master Degree in Life Sciences or Information Technology

Languages:
Fluent in written and spoken English
Experience and Skills:

At least 5 years\' experience in drug development and related Information Technology
At least 3 years in Patient Safety with in-depths knowledge of Drug Safety business processes
At least 3 years experience in Life Cycle Management of Patient Safety Systems and Applications and/or safety data management
Experienced in managing external vendors and internal IT teams
Thorough understanding of MedDRA, Disease dictionaries
Ability to work efficiently in global teams interacting with colleagues divers cultural backgrounds
Excellent English skills, written and oral
