Job Description



A First Fit team aim to increase the installed base. The super service center which facilitates the seal assemblies, seal refurbishments, seal testing & supporting Pump OEM’s mainly in the Western & Northern region.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Super Service Center.
  • Responsible for the smooth execution of the First Fit orders.
  • The monthly Sales from the Super Service Center
  • The timely & correct order booking, amendment, liaising with customer’s, Bangalore office , Purchase & Operation team , CPG , PDO , ISC etc.
  • Guide and Drive team of the Super Service Center.
  • Responsible for the timely order execution.
  • Conduct seminar/customer trainings.
  • Troubleshooting of mechanical seal/system and coupling.
  • Align team towards ISO 9001 quality management system, represent team in quality audits.
  • Collaboration with other teams, influence own team members to meet the objectives.
  • Responsible for decision making process of maintaining right amount of manpower in the team.
  • Responsible for strategic decision-making regarding team making process.
  • Responsible for training plans for the team.
  • Collaborate with global teams in their initiatives of developing suppliers and maintaining the service center in line with the other service centers.

The Individual
  • BE in Mechanical / Chemical from reputed university with 12 to15 year’s relevant Industrial experience.
  • Having experience in managing the Service Center activities like Seals Assemblies, Testing, day to day operations & the execution of the First Fit orders.
  • Should be able to liaise with the Bangalore operation, Engineering, Purchase Sales & different sites in order to continue with the day to day work.
  • Strong working knowledge to run the super service center, execution / Project management activities.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate strategies and drive a coordinated action plan.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to prioritize and communicate clearly across all levels of the organization (without formal authority) and cultures.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and multitasking are essential.
  • Develop plans for the ongoing standardization and improvement of the support systems engineering function, including processes and products.
  • Ability to make quick decisions while evaluating risk to John Crane and the customer.
  • Ability to identify and realize commercial opportunities by influencing.
  • Ability to quickly standardize processes across multiple geographies and cultures using a best practice approach.
  • Manage a team of 10 for the shop floor activities
