: Strategic Sourcing Manager (Smartphone Components)

Essential Responsibilities but not limited to:

Develop and execute localization and cost-reduction roadmap in collaboration with Xiaomi global sourcing team

Develop a nuanced understanding of the Smartphone component vendors' landscape in India and Identify existing/upcoming components and raw material suppliers for potential evaluation to be part of Xiaomi supply chain

Benchmark and analyze competition's local sourcing strategy and plan including vendors' landscape

Lead initiatives for continuous cost-optimization of locally sourced components through localization of sub-component ecosystem

Coordinate with GR, Finance and concerned HQ teams to analyze impact of upcoming/released initiatives and notification by Govt. such as import duty changes and customs rule changes and recommend subsequent course of action

Initiate projects to analyze and participate in various incentive schemes launched by Govt. after aligning all relevant internal teams

Develop and maintain vendor relationships

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor's degree and at least six -eight (8) years strategic sourcing/Vendor Management experience in Electronics industry preferably Smartphone segment

Electrical/Electronics Engineering background preferred

Strong preference for experience dealing with multinational vendors and both electronics and mechanical parts sourcing

Strong network in the industry including Smartphone component and component raw material vendors

Ability to manage multiple projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria)

Strong team player with proven ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams

Experience of working with China-based companies would be a plus

Excellent Data analysis skills especially analyzing large data sets

Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge

Travel is required for this position
