The Role

A special emphasis should be placed on Kaizen, Visual management and Gemba workshops to ensure sustainability & transparency in our process. Putting in place the necessary department standards and documentation are key requirements to ensure a successful Continuous Improvement process.

Actively plan and implement digitalization activities to support the company's Industry 4.0 journey for improved customer experience and increased efficiencies

Mission

Responsible for the Quality Excellence to have customer satisfaction. Ensure the products and services meet the desired specification, regulations and acceptable standards. Formulate and direct the quality assurance program and policies and strive to bring the highest customer satisfaction

To establish & maintain a sustainable Quality setup which delivers High Quality Products on -time & in shortest lead time, at the lowest cost, in respect of Safety, Health & Environment guidelines.

Responsible of the Test & Packing Process performance

Quality Management System Implementation

Plan and conduct periodic product and process audits and ensure actions on non-compliance

Product and process quality

Set and execute all quality targets and metrics to meet the product quality standards.

Ensure that receipt inspection plans are in place and followed

Ensure product and process control plans are in place and adhered to

Final decision on GO / No Go on product acceptance

Plan and execute product audit and layout inspection

Monitoring and reporting of quality measures

Training on Quality related tools & Techniques

Ensure that trainings are scheduled and working groups are trained / have adequate knowledge on relevant tools and techniques

Incoming quality improvement process

Manage supplier quality monitoring

Initiates corrective actions necessary at supplier to ensure conformity with quality specifications and standards

Customer quality and customer complaints resolution & customer satisfaction

Interact & capture vital issues and collaborate with production team for implementation

  • Review of Customer complaints and robust action planning to ensure DOA under control.
Manage all customer audits

Ensure that customer specific requirements are captured and implemented

Lead customer complaint resolution including implementation of corrective and preventive actions

Review customer quality agreements periodically

Manage Failure analysis and initiate actions for overall warranty reduction.

Right-from-me concept (FTR tracking, Andon)

Global best practice sharing

Interact with teams at various overseas Plants and mutually share best practices in area of Quality

Support new product introduction projects

Provide relevant quality support for products under development

Participate to New Product Development projects for easy Phase-in, and Phase -Out being active (for shorter Time2Market).

Participate in TCM to ensure timely closure & avoid repetition of Customer complains.

Manage Laboratory equipment & calibration of gauges

Ensure that required equipment's and gauges are available for product and process measurement and control

Ensure that calibration system is in place and followed
  • Respect IMS principal, and AC Guidelines
  • IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 50001 & OHSAS) mandatory, legal & internal requirement fulfilment for manufacturing function.
  • Lead the implementation of relevant projects to bring the PC further onto the Road to Industry 4.0
  • Develop a strong shop floor leadership focused on BBS, BBQ and continuous improvements, always "walking the talk".
  • Maintain a close coordination with the Production, Quality, SCM and Methods team to realize the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Efficiency targets. WIP and Lost takt reduction.

What we expect of you?

Experience / Educational requirements

Engineer or Equivalent with minimum 10-12 years' experience, Mechanical Engineer /MBA would be an added advantage.

Effective leader with
4 years' experience of managing Blue color workers.

Technical knowledge on compressor assembly & testing is a must.

Knowledge of Quality concept (FMEA, FTR, 6 Sigma...), Safety and IMS.

Exposure to International business environment & Large company

Fluent in English

Use of IT tools like ERP (BPCS), MES, AVIX, MS-Excel
