General Mills India Centre General Mills India Center (GIC) operates out of Mumbai and supports the global operations of General Mills. The center was established in 2005 and has grown in strength. Job Overview
Role: Manager, QA.
Location: Mumbai, Hybrid eligible
The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and strong
QA manager with 14+ years of experience to manage the team of test engineers (automation,
functional and data). Candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience as a manger leading a
team of QA engineers. Should have strong ability to see the whole picture and to focus on the
important details in a pragmatic and result oriented way. Should have experience in Appium,
JMeter, Postman, Selenium testing automation tools and framework. Proven track record in
designing and developing automation test strategies in alignment with organisation goals. Strong
people management skills with focus on hiring, attracting and retaining right talent for the QA team.


Role Responsibilities

70% of Time Manager of People Responsibilities: - Mentor and guide team in achieving individual and organisation goals. - Hiring and grooming QA team members. - Set goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Manage mid-year and annual performance feedback discussions. - Plan, prioritize and execute QA activities across multiple teams. - Reviews project scope and requirements in order to determine the necessary level of testing and to staff projects properly thereby taking care of resource management. - Provide support and coaching for direct reports.
- Develop and increase team performance and collaboration across organization. - Effectively manage vendor engagements there by taking care of vendor contractor resource onboarding and offboarding.
30% of Time Technical and Operational Responsibilities - Create testing and automation strategies and approaches in alignment with overall organization goals. - Help design, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing best practices and CI/CD pipelines for QA automation. - Participating in the delivery status calls for critical projects to monitor the status of the projects closely and highlight the issues to the senior management thus helping the team to mitigate the risk proactively. - Define metrics and perform metrics analysis for all the projects to improve quality and share the metric results with senior management and stakeholders. - Develop strong manual, performance and automation test strategies that fit into our projects CI/CD pipelines.


Must - have technical skills and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of proven work experience in automation testing.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in managing mid to large QA teams (team size 10+).
  • Decent understanding in OOPS programming concepts and experience in programming

languages like Java, C#, JavaScript
  • Demonstrated skill in using coding standards and being an active participant in code

reviews.
  • Experience and understanding of automation frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG,

Selenium/Appium.
  • Understands and decent experience in CI/CD pipelines from QA perspective.
  • UI and/or API level test automation understanding both on web and mobile.
  • Experienced in implementing testing and QA frameworks in eCommerce, Web

Applications\xe2\x80\x99 or Ad Ops (preferred) domain.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC and multiple software engineering and testing

methodologies.
  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages.
  • Decent knowledge of with popular web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
  • Experience with issue tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.)
