EIIC functional excellence organization is aligned with CTO's strategy to drive "One Eaton Engineering Functional Excellence". The Charter of this organization is to simplify & create better work experiences for our Engineers by transforming existing engineering work processes. EIIC functional excellence organization will work with global Engineering Functional Excellence leaders in CTO's office, Electrical, and Industrial Sector businesses.
This organization will be responsible for developing and deploying One Eaton processes across all sectors and businesses across the globe.
The leader for Program Management Excellence within the functional excellence team at EIIC will be responsible for establishing and deploying practices and processes for program/ project planning tracking and reporting. The manager in this role will also be responsible for deploying and driving continuous improvement on these processes. The manager will also be responsible for publishing the performance of all engineering processes through standard dashboards and reports.
The Manager in this role will actively work along with leaders for engineering excellence, engineering digitalization, operational excellence, and business teams across the organizations.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Manager Role - Lead a team of matured Program Managers in the PM Excellence Team to Drive improvement in Program/ Project management-related processes and practices. Influence global PMO Leads for process implementation and change adoption.
2. Digitalization - Working with respective global focal to enable a Digitalization mindset and automation to drive Program Management excellence, engineering digitalization, and operational excellence in business teams across the organizations.
3. Responsible for maintaining and ensuring regular updates of program performance data of all engineering through the PPM system.
4. Enhancement of existing PPM (ProPM) processes and systems while working with Global IT and PMO teams.
5. Lead / Mentor team towards implementation of digital/intelligent solutions for Program Management and Engineering Excellence and be involved and guide leads/specialists in their projects (multiple)
6. Select, hire and retain employees in the department.
7. Leading the team of expert PM support /trainers providing training and guidance globally
Other responsibilities
-Creation, Publication, and maintenance of engineering information and process performances.
-Show visible leadership and set an example by personal action in developing a strong learning culture in the team.
-Strategy & execution leadership for enhancing collaboration & synergy across various engineering teams
-Develop a high-performing, innovative, empowered, and accountable culture across the organization.
-Build organizational capability and capacity of the team to execute strategy for the operational excellence team within the functional excellence group.
-Provide visible leadership to guide, coach, and develop the next-level organizational and leaders.
-Develop and maintain relationships with global stakeholders, the technical community, and academia.
-Continuous advancement of the capability.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 9-15 Yrs of experience and a Strong understanding of organizational processes
Strong understanding of Program Management practices that includes; Agile practices, LEAN product development, and Critical Chain Project management.
PMP Certified
Process Management-Good at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done knowing how to organize people and activities, knowing what to measure and how to measure it, Can simplify complex processes, Gets more out of fewer resources
