DESCRIPTION

The Policy Communications Manager will develop and execute high-impact campaigns, including in partnership with credible external influencers. They will focus on maintaining and improving the quality of Amazon\'s outreach as we communicate our policy messages to key public audiences, with an ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple campaigns. This role requires a sophisticated ability to influence, be hands-on when required, think on your feet and delight in innovative yet effective solutions.

Key job responsibilities

• Actively seek to understand Amazon\'s core business values and initiatives, and populate this narrative externally.
• Develop and execute proactive campaigns in support of Amazon\'s public policy goals in India, shaped with an awareness of the policy and regulatory landscape;
• Work with key internal stakeholders and credible external influencer including but not limited to business leadership and cross-functional teams (such as Marketing and Social Media) to develop a communications plan to tackle the headwinds.
• Be responsible for campaign execution, partnering with our communications agency appropriate.
• Influence peers and stakeholders in other functions to deliver cross-functional projects.
• Travel to various non-metro geographies in India and engaging with local media.
• Be the point of contact for key teams that support independent sellers\' and therefore be comfortable and confident liaising with multiple teams and senior leaders.
• Develop messaging and speaking points for external communications opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor\'s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience of working in PR agency
- Experience of working as a journalist
- experience of working LAMB
