As part of Global GSCS Learning and Development organization, lead and develop a team of learning professionals and support staff delivering global learning solutions to employees and partners.

Lead and supervise the setup and execution of V-ILT (and if needed in person ILT) classes and GOLP\'s as well as reporting and analytics for GLaD.

Act as a partner concern point for operational, project, process and collaborator issues, handling partner concerns through to successful resolution.

Area of Responsibility

Business Management

  • Contribute to the definition of Global L&D strategy and the development of subsequent L&D plans based on business and transformation needs, field input, appreciation and understanding of the current key drivers for the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the delivery of internal communications and awareness of corporate direction, mission, aims and procedures in business terms to own team.
  • Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and set appropriate budget plans for own team. Manage and control unit expenditure within agreed budgets, supervising ongoing progress against AOP.
  • Handle L&D financial risk to minimize threats to financial plan for dedicated area of responsibility.
  • Ensuring adherence to financial compliance processes and Limits of Authority (LoA).
  • Support process for supervising RFP/RFQ/RFI responses for L&D content.
  • Ensures appropriate contribution to management reporting requirements.
  • Ensure all business activities meet and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, compliance management health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Pays close attention to key L&D projects within area and develops strong partner relationships helping support the improvement of the L&D provision and development of future business.
People Management
  • Provide leadership, advice and coaching to GSCS L&D team on the design, development and delivery of Global L&D offers and Best Practices using Siemens approaches.
  • Where appropriate as part of the Global GSCS L&D Management team, and in conjunction with HR, contribute to the setting of annual compensation and headcount plan in line with Global guidelines.
  • Working with the appropriate 3rd party or internal talent acquisition functions, and within the appropriate headcount plan and budgets, take ownership of and drive the recruitment and selection of relevant L&D staff for own team.
  • Take ownership of and/or contribute to Global L&D workforce and succession planning process in order to align the Global L&D team with future business needs.
  • Contribute to the creation and communication of individual goals ensuring that individual performance objectives are aligned with the L&D strategy.
  • Undertake ongoing performance discussions for direct reports according to Siemens HR processes and identify any performance problems.
  • Manage any subsequent mitigation process, drawing support from suitable internal functions such as HR to ensure adherence to Siemens policy and legal requirements.
  • Where appropriate, ensure suitable learning and development plans are established for direct reports in order to meet legal and mandated requirements, build talent pool, provide access to career development, prepare individuals for promotion and build required competence to meet future needs.
Global Learning & Development Team Management
  • Lead team activity to support the adoption and implementation of (Siemens) Best Practice processes and procedures for the delivery of Services activities within SISW channel, systems integration, and strategic partner companies.
  • Attend and report to Global L&D meetings.
  • Contribute to the development of core frameworks for the delivery of learning and development.
  • Help to promote adoption of global projects and initiatives.
  • Own or contribute to allocated global projects.
L&D Operations
  • Oversee and advise the operations of the Learning Academy to deliver effective training co-ordination.
  • Drive and document the forecasting and planning of major learning program execution YonY.
  • Own and execute required learning reporting for L&D operations, value demonstration, quality management and executive dashboards.
  • Oversee Global L&D financial operations including budget management and cross charging of L&D Services and programs.
  • Handle the 3rd Party Vendors in partnership with purchasing, be responsible for the tender process for new vendor selection and contract management. Co-ordinate the generation of POs for license and services purchasing, reconcile spend and ensure appropriate cross charging.
  • Manage the publishing of the monthly L&D Newsletter, and the marketing of L&D Services.
Business Partnering
  • Own the Business Partnering Practice standards and the Business Partner Practice community, ensure that all Business Partners implement activity to agreed processes and standards.
  • Ensure that Training needs are regularly discussed, documented and validated from GSCS Line Managers, consolidate and prioritize demand in conjunction with the L&D Director
  • Supervise the development of annual Country GSCS Development plans.
  • Be responsible for the development and maintenance of Stakeholder Maps by function for all partner contacts and develop effective relationship and communication plans.
  • Advocate GLaD services and approaches.
Major Learning Programs
  • Lead the Learning Program Practice standards and the Learning Program Management Practice community. ensure that all Business Partners implement activity to agreed processes and standards.
  • Learning Program Planning and Prioritization.
  • Drive the annual forecasting and planning for all major learning programs.
  • Act as partner concern point for queries and issues relating to Learning Program Management practice and activities.
Solution, Campaign and Industry
  • Own the execution of release and product enablement, learning campaigns and industry enablement to effective and efficient.
  • Engage with key partners to set the learning strategy for GSCS go to market for Solutions & Campaigns.
  • Establish efficient and effective practices and standards for technical and drive the project management and co-ordination of projects and initiatives with SME groups and product / industry owners.
  • Drive the validation of the field requirement for technical, campaign and industry enablement and develop templates and big block outlines.
  • Lead activities to drive the adoption of the solution, campaign and industry learning solutions.
Courseware Development
  • Handle courseware pipeline against priorities in conjunction with GLaD Director
  • Handle workload balancing across courseware developers.
  • Be responsible for licenses for courseware development and associated software.
  • Commercialize courseware development offering to groups beyond GSCS.
  • Develop and document courseware development practices and standards and promote these within the business.
  • Provide guidance to GLaD team and to wider business partners on e-learning design.
General
  • Support the organizational culture, values and reputation in company markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies.
  • Willing and able to travel to appropriate work locations, as required by DISW.
  • Willing and available to work the core hours required by DISW respecting local country legislation and company policies.
  • Record expenses in an accurate and timely manner
  • Uphold the professional integrity of Siemens at all times.
  • Upholds and implements Siemens compliance guidelines at all times.
  • Adhere to all Siemens Health and Safety policies.
