Job Description


The incumbent will participate in formulating SPNI s digital content syndication strategy, identifying key partners and forging successful partnerships in international territories, facilitate ongoing business and operational processes for key partners (international OTT players) and obtain approvals and for various content-related opportunities in international markets Education: MBA / Post Graduate preferred Experience: 8+ years in Digital content media, 5+ years in Sales / BD / Consulting Reporting Relationship: Head - Digital Syndication Business/Channel/Function: Digital Business Key Responsibilities: Business Development (International) Responsible to scan the international market to identify syndication opportunities for in-house IPs (Intellectual Properties). Partner identification, deal negotiation, contract closure and execution. Prepare customized business proposals for new business initiatives. Liaise with content team to identify any new content lined up basis SPNI s content roadmap and identify partners for the same Partner Development/Growth Develop and maintain relationships with content buyers in international markets and manage the day-to-day partnership activities with a focus on existing performance growth, and advocate internally on behalf of partners. Sales Strategies Devise sales strategies to optimize library content as well as on-air / recently concluded content. Identify gaps in the Syndication ecosystem and take active measures to fill them to increase presence and sales. Marketing Design a comprehensive, time-bound communication plan for SPN content and other tactical activities. Lead marketing communication across all platforms- Website, Emailers, Exhibitions, Merchandise, 3rd party marketplaces etc. Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to create customized content collaterals. Cross-functional Collaboration Incumbent is expected to work with various teams (Internal external) to drive business objectives and ensure efficient deliverables Critical Competencies: Behavioural Should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude Attitude towards business development is a must Good negotiation skills Should be a team player with ability to work with cross functional teams including Legal, Programming, Marketing, Web, Data etc. as well as external agencies Inquisitive and analytical mind; out-of-the-box thinking; bring a creative perspective to business problems applying functional expertise, business understanding and common sense Technical Digital content syndication experience in international markets Have up-to-date knowledge of the digital industry and international markets to identify new business, explore opportunities to enhance SPNI s content distribution network Extensive knowledge of digital sales processes, digital platforms, technical markets, pricing models, channels of distribution, technology trends and budgeting Ability to interface with partners and to solve key problems through analysis
