Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • As the Global BPA team exponentially grows and further increases its footprint, it's key to focus on many strategic initiatives. The position is within IM Digital Finance Data & tools based in Hyderabad.
  • The associate will have product ownership responsibilities for primary planning & reporting tool/s, in addition to working with the country/region/global BPA teams to support the digital finance operational process, manage enhancements and lead key global processes.
  • Understand the Country / Region Reporting and planning process and requirements, ownership of Local One planning, cost Insights, and Local Genie tools, drive standardization, enhancements, and simplification in line with global digital finance goals
  • Prepare LBPC and Local Genie systems for LF and FP planning cycles. Addressing system preparation activities/changes to responsible team ensuring system readiness on required timelines, drafting clear communications with regards to LF, FP planning cycles ensuring system updates are shared with business users.
  • Understanding the business needs defining the enhancements required in the system by business stakeholders. Guiding business users with respect to existing planning process. Ensuring solutions proposed by IT project development team is in line with current design of the tool.
  • Taking the ownership of enhancements, prioritizing & liaison with IT for development, testing the enhancements, ensuring proper communication across various stakeholders to ensure the enhancements are deployed in a timely manner.
  • Taking ownership of Local Genie and playing active part in preparing solutions and driving enhancements related to the it, maintaining good relations with business and efficiently handling escalations, if any, supporting and guiding IM local One planning team members in case of any operational queries, collaborate and work closely with Local IT, business users, One planning team, Global process owners to drive planning process from technical perspective.
Minimum requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
  • Chartered Accountant, equivalent degree or MBA in Finance
  • Operational knowledge of SAP ECC, BI and dashboard systems
  • Project management capabilities (e.g. to define business requirement/concepts for IT development)
  • Knowledge of Novartis business processes , Fluency in business finance communication and stakeholder management
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting with exposure to systems. Strong analytical skills, with an eye for detail Ability to use financial controlling / reporting tools
  • Very good communication skills, team worker, Stakeholder management skills, Result Driven & high level of commitment, Innovative & Creative
