For more details about General Mills please visit this Link Purpose of the role The Applied Analytics teams work on market insights and business analytics for different business units within GMI segments. This team leverages a variety of data sources (Point of Sale, Consumer Panel, Analytics outputs, Numerator, Luminate, etc.) to provide insights around critical business questions ranging from Brand and Category deep-dives, Driver analysis, Innovation, Macro factor impact, Consumer segmentation and Pricing and promo impact. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring that General Mills succeeds in an ever-evolving market environment. The role will prioritize the work of the team and be responsible for working with stakeholders to ensure delivery of robust applied insights to fully implemented solutions. This job requires the person to: Understand the category, market, competitive landscape, and future trends to identify and pursue opportunities for the category and brands. Communicate key findings and insights to internal stakeholders and Leadership in a structured/data-driven manner to influence decision-making. Lead a team of Analysts/ Sr Analysts/ MOPs (Asst. Manager), setting clear priorities and expectations for them in alignment with business priorities as well as guiding and coaching them to achieve the same. Mentor & Grow: a team of skilled analytical resources and prepare them to act as trusted business advisors. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Category Forecasts for our key global markets. Grow, lead, and develop a team of subject matter and technical experts. Build strong strategic partnerships with Regional/OU/CMI stakeholders and act as a Trusted Advisor. Ensure working team has the right priorities in place. Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions. Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees with comprehensive policies and processes. Identify and ensure team is developing their capabilities to meet evolving stakeholder needs. Storytelling for Business Impact - ability to take technical output and translate into business recommendations and results. Be responsible to deliver Impactful Insights and Impact for Organization\'s growth through Analytics. Lead projects and be accountable for all reporting and analytics work for the region/OU etc. Understand the Business opportunities and challenges, evaluate multiple data sources (POS data, Panel Data, external sources), connect the Dots to create and present a compelling \'story\' to aid business objectives. Deliver bigger and complex projects working directly with stakeholders with minimum supervision of manager within high agreed timelines and highest quality standards. Learn and adopt new tools/platforms with ease and deliver superior results. Work with Data and Analytics peers (across pillars) to deliver insightful solutions to business questions. Regularly monitor consumer dynamics, category trends and convert them to meaningful discussions with global/region leads and generate analytical projects. Identify and implement process improvements to gain efficiencies. Partner with other region leads to share/implement best practices. Act as a business leader for the function in implementing team\'s vision for success. Coach junior team members to build all players. Develop new capabilities for applied / segment analytics that relate to the organization\'s priorities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education - Full Time graduation from an accredited university Minimum 10+ Years of strong exposure to FMCG/CPG Analytics& Insights Roles. Masters degree in Business/ Statics/Economics. Strong POS/Panel expertise. Strong team management experience. Ability to lead a cross-functional project teams and capable of working with highly technical teams - can translate business needs to requirements against which technical resources can execute. Ability to translate highly technical and complex work into easily understood concepts that business teams can trust and take action on. Agility to deliver with sense of urgency, consistently meeting tight timelines. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years working in CPG Marketing and Analytics. Exceptional Presentation and Storytelling skills. Strong verbal, written communication skills with the ability to express difficult concepts in simple terms. Possess excellent stakeholder influencing and management skills. Strong experience of working on FMCG/CPG Analytics and Insights divisions. Sound technical/conceptual knowledge of Syndicated research (Point of Sale / Panel data). Expert in Excel/PPT and using POS tools (Nielsen Answers, IRI, DunHumby etc.) Strong Analytical background to connect the dots between Macro trends, Portfolio performance, Innovation, Pricing, and other key elements to help brands grow. Exceptional analytical, organizational/prioritization and problem-solving skills. Experience of SQL, Power BI, Tableau will be an added advantage.
