JOB SUMMARY: Polaris is recruiting for a Manager of Analytics & Data Science Manager to manage a team of analytics professional that will include Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Reporting Analysts. This team will focus work on analysis, definition, and development of complex data models and reporting for the Engineering, Manufacturing, Dealer and Customer products with a strong focus on analytics and predictive reporting using multiple data sources and tools.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
\xe2\x80\xa2 Build a team dedicated to improve business outcomes with analytics \xe2\x80\xa2 Define and measure team performance metrics \xe2\x80\xa2 Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide thought leadership and best practices related to reporting and predictive analytics / machine learning solutions \xe2\x80\xa2 Be able to define requirements, analyze and design solutions in the analytics and Data Science space

• Evolve and implement an Agile methodology for delivery of results
• Work with management, business analysts, project managers, and business clients to document requirements and prepare design documents.
• Coaches team members on performance, completes employee performance evaluations, and recommends pay actions
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE \xe2\x80\xa2 Expertise regarding predictive data modeling, data mining and segmentation techniques
\xe2\x80\xa2 Highly proficient with data mining/visualization/predictive modeling tools: SQL, Power BI, R, Python, Data Robot \xe2\x80\xa2 Expert understanding of statistical methods and predictive/analytical modeling techniques and practices \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong experience with data preparation, rationalization, and processing in a cloud environment - Azure a plus \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient with one or more data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with deep learning / AI models using CNN, RNN and computer vision \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent organizational, time management, and project planning/strategizing skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical and problem resolution skills

• Ability to collaborate in a matrix environment, work with geographically distributed teams
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and business relationship management experience

Education and Work Experience \xe2\x80\xa2 7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science field with 4 or year leading and managing a team \xe2\x80\xa2 Masters or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s in quantitative field such as (but not limited to) Applied Statistics / Mathematics, Data or Computer Science \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrated experience in project management and organization
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience working in an agile environment a plus \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in a Manufacturing related industry a plus
