What this job involves:

  • Reporting to Head of Finance and oversight by Global Ethics & Compliance team.
  • Managing a growing team (currently 20 team members) of KYC/AML/Sanctions Screening Sr. Analysts and Analysts.
  • Subject matter expertise in Anti Money Laundering & Sanctions Screening including Case analysis and EDD.
  • Dealing with escalated or complex KYC / AML and sanctions cases, and providing an assessment or recommendation for resolution to local Legal & Compliance team
  • Experience in handling cases with complex ownerships, finding Beneficial Ownerships etc.
  • Familiarity in working different entity types like LP's, LLP's, Trusts, Foundations & charities, and with due-diligence tools like Compliance Catalyst, Credit Safe, Vision Net, Worldcheck One, Smart Search etc.
  • Ensuring procedures are followed consistently with a documented audit trail for all KYC / AML / sanctions match resolution actions taken
  • Maintaining a high level of compliance awareness and knowledge to support KYC / AML / Sanctions effectively
  • Responsibility for:
  • Providing leadership to multiple and diverse / complex due diligence processes
  • Providing operational excellence to achieve SLA deliverables
  • Stakeholder relationship management, team building and management along with the exceeding process delivery goals
  • Prioritise urgent cases vs priority cases, ensure teams are 100% cross trained. Should have capability and experience in managing large teams
  • Single Point of Contact for Client and Senior Leadership for the process/es
  • Establish deep relationships with key stakeholders, and understand and address process pain points
  • Must be able to provide meaningful insights to leaders and stakeholders to ensure informed decisions can be taken by leadership team
  • Ability to drive organisation strategy, build a strong structure, manage staffing, improve skills, and define style in line with the organisation's vision
  • Obtain and maintain deep knowledge of the processes and identify opportunities to drive efficiencies through standardization, continuous improvement, transformation, and bench marking across similar industries.
  • Own the standard process design and control environment, push back on unwarranted deviations from the standard
  • Drive a culture of continuous risk assessment, improvement, and appropriate stakeholder communication
  • Review the E2E Metrics and identify risks, opportunities. Provide meaningful and objective solutions
  • Inculcate a culture of proactiveness and ownership amongst team to drive BAU operations and change through tactical and strategic improvement initiatives
  • Drive an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork within the function by ensuring every employee is aware of his / her career development roadmap
  • Help managers actively translate the values into day-to-day actions and behaviours
  • Ensure attrition rates are below industry average figures. Ensure active participation in recruitment activities
  • Mentor operations team in implementing process improvements
  • Provide direction and coaching to the operations team to align to organisation goals and deliver on commitments consistently
  • Proactively share success stories with the leadership organization and share the lessons learnt with the team.
Sounds like you? To apply you need to be/have:
  • University Graduate / Postgraduate in, with 10 years of work experience in AML functions, including experience of managing teams, in a large multinational organization.
  • Proven team leadership and people management skills, ability to handle large and diverse AML teams
  • Proven client management skills. Ability to build impactful customer relationship and drive collaborative behaviour and work across multiple hierarchies across internal and external stakeholders
  • Commitment to a strong, values-driven ethical culture and to promote transparency in all dealings.
  • Skill to ensure key compliance risks and processes are managed consistently and effectively across JLL's operations.
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations and multi-task
  • Very strong communication skills and awareness of cross geographical cultures
  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop talent. Must also be able to hold difficult conversations, whenever necessary
  • Must be Six Sigma Green Belt certified. ACAMS preferred.
  • Knowledge on AML Laws for EU, UK and key APAC countries would be required.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and drive improvements to closure. Must be self-driven
  • Creative thinking, analytical and an innovative mind-set. Must be solution oriented.
  • Ability to foresee risks, be proactive and predictive while developing risk mitigation plans
  • Keen to apply best practices from previous experience and similar organisations
