Visit our LinkedIn page to see what we're up to! #LI-Hybrid Why we're hiring: Financeplus is WPP's global internal Finance Shared Service organization. Within the Financeplus applications landscape at WPP there are a series of applications sitting mainly on SaaS platforms that operate alongside and often integrate with our ERP systems. These tools include GetPaid (Collections), Adra Balancer and Accounts (Reconciliations), Perceptive ImageNow (Invoice Processing), Finastra Web Suite (Payments) and in due course, other applications including Robotic Process Automation. There is a new project to integrate these tools with Informatica (Cloud Data management tool) and review any changes and updates that will need to be implemented. Additionally, we have a global ERP programme that is deploying a common template ERP solution based on the Maconomy product. It is currently live-in countries in Europe, APAC and Middle East, with further countries to follow. This ERP along with the Financeplus applications form the core finance applications toolset for Financeplus. Part of this programme is to ensure that Maconomy remains on the latest version of the software. You will be responsible for reviewing the new features and identifying how they might benefit the organization. Current projects capitalizing on these include the introduction of Touch (A smart Phone app) and iAccess, a HTML5 browser version. You will be required to test new features, deliver internal training to the BAU team, and provide documentation to aid in the change management. Other areas of the role will include:

  • Manage the BAU environment associated with these tools, working with the business users, supplier teams, and 3rd party helpdesks to triage & resolve application issues
  • Keep key stakeholders informed of progress on issues, enhancements, releases
  • Deliver small projects in conjunction with the Finance Application Product Manager – e.g. changes, new functionality, rollout of existing features to new geographies
  • Ensure that all changes (projects, enhancements, fixes) are fully tested, including by business users
  • Test the internally developed changes to the software
What you'll be doing:
  • Working with users & technical teams to triage issues with individual applications to ensure issues are pinpointed and driven to resolution. This will include triaging / fixing issues relating to one application or interfaces between applications, often involving working with multiple suppliers to investigate & fix
  • Testing Support – carrying out SIT (System Integration Testing), documenting UAT testing, following up with users to drive completion of testing and sign-off
  • Carrying out System Admin or configuration activities on business applications – e.g. setting up or amending Security groups in accordance with audit and compliance
  • Monitoring performance of tools and tracking any issues and escalation in proactive manner, driving escalations as needed
  • Understanding and configuring tools for local deployment where any such configuration is outside vendor scope and outside the skillset of internal users
  • Develop & maintain documentation relating to configuration of the tools to simplify future rollouts & support Audit requests.
  • You will be requested to work with internal and external audit, good understanding of the application and documentation will be necessary
  • Consolidate the documentation on monthly releases to explain then to the change management team
What you'll need:
  • Strong technical awareness of tool-based / SaaS packages and application integrations
  • Strong understanding of finance back-office processes and how these are supported by applications
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong ability to use tools for documentation, ticketing and training
  • Highly motivated, flexible team player and manager with the ability to deliver in a timely and professional manner.
  • Confident working with technical IT teams and business users about IT applications
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the role
