Job Description
Our client is looking to hire a Logistics head for PAN India who would be responsible for transportation, logistics, distribution and warehousing
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain & Manufacturing, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the Central, Regional and Branch warehouse operations including commercial terms along with warehouse spaces as per budgets and contractual terms
- Controlling inventory of warehouses as per norms, liquidation drives, maintaining minimum levels, material in transit levels, and processing ageing inventory
- Handling Primary and Secondary transportation for the organization and achieving cost efficiency in the process
- Managing transporter vendors, including centralized and fleet owners, along with selecting them, appointing them, finalizing contracts, periodical reviews and their entire lifecycle and overseeing the processing of freight bills, release of payments, lodging/settlement of claims for centralized transporters
- Striving to continuously improve processes, implementation as per suggested outcomes of internal and process audits and ensuring safety management systems are in place for operations, best safety practices in loading/unloading/bay management and others
Ideally you are a post graduate with experience of 18-20 years in the role of managing Logistics, Warehousing, Transportation & distribution. You have solid experience in managing processes, finalizing transporters, managing costs, commercial terms and conditions finalization and working with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes with efficiency. You have great communication, negotiation, presentation and team management skills. You have an excellent track record and are open to new challenges.
