About this opportunity

Linux Engineer is responsible for Monitor Performance Data Collections across several customers and address issues as they arise. Perform detailed scripting to add new collections when needed. Perform Data Pushes to resources requesting data via ITSM Ticketing system. Trouble-shoot issues with collections both within Ericsson, via transport (CAS/RSG) or at customer site (OSS/ENM). Perform continuous improvement projects on continuing to automate tasks and streamline work.

What you will do

• New push setup/disable coming though ITSM tickets.
• Resolve issues looking through trackers reports dcps, dcqs, dcda, etc - daily. If no new issues, move on.
• Trouble-shooting data unavailability - can be anytime (may not be daily). The issue can be anywhere either on our server or ENM side or RSG/SSG connection problem or network slowness etc.
• Need to keep track of individual RSG/SSG/CAS accounts up to date.
• Contact to right PoC to resolve the data missing issues.

You will bring

• Bachelor or Master Degree within Electrical Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or alternate
• Perl and PYTHON scripting - Proficient in this area
• Strong-understanding of file systems, structures, and System Administration
• Strong Linux/Unix skills (CentOS, RedHat, etc...)
• Understanding of Dell Blade Systems and Compellent Storage Systems a plus
• Solid understanding of OSS/ENM and ability to maneuver around customer's OSS/ENM environment
• Working understanding of RSG/CAS connectivity and B2B systems
• Strong understanding of Ericsson's ITSM ticketing-system
• Working level understanding of performance data counters stored in customer's ENMs that would be retrieved (CM/PM/FM/CTR/DDP/KGET).
