About Us: Kronicle is a legal operations platform designed to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of legal teams through technology that assists them in researching, generating, and managing their documents, contracts, legal cases, and compliance requirements. About the Role: In the role of a Legal Engineer, you will be responsible for defining the problem statements in law and articulating the need for specific legal products. You would be exposed to the development and implementation of advanced AI and machine learning models in the legal, regulatory and compliance domain. You will be required to collaborate closely with other data scientists, lawyers and engineers to create and launch innovative AI solutions in the legal and GRC fields. • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI solutions align with business objectives and meet customer requirements.
• Conducting an in-depth analysis of extensive legal datasets to identify patterns and trends that can aid in the development of AI systems.
• Effectively communicating insights and discoveries to stakeholders in a succinct and comprehensible manner.
• Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in legaltech and AI/ML technologies and trends while promoting best practices.

Highly Desired Skills and Experience: We are looking at hiring candidates with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to translate complex legal concepts to technical stakeholders and the ability to think outside the box. The following background would be a plus -

• Working understanding of how lawyers functions and applying large language models to law
• Degree in Law. Additional exposure to Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is a definite advantage
• Working knowledge of applying recent LLMs including ChatGPT, GPT 3.5, OPT, BLOOM, etc.
