Job Purpose & Scope



To assure quality label of all products in CP - Fans BU as per Indian standard requirement and meet Bajaj quality assurance plan norms. Fans manufactured within India. Assuring product manufacturing process and machineries at all Indian vendors are latest in industries for enhancing final product quality.



Major Areas of Responsibilities & Authorities



New Product Development

• New Product Development of Fans at All locations and all category of BEL .
• Validation of NPD \xe2\x80\x93 CF & NCF all locations
• Third Party lab testing and control
• Quality \xe2\x80\x93 NPD risk assessment and Mitigation.
• BEE & BIS testing, validation and Development
• Analyzing and producing the technical requirements,
• Ensuring Design Quality System Manual, SOP & format, all Inspection Standards & Control Plan.
• Overall operations for improvement of existing products with thrust on reducing product cost and based on market trends / requirements.
• Co-ordinating product development functions including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, designing, prototype development and testing activities.
• New product enquiry and trouble shooting.
• New product development (NPD)/R & D environment/Machine tool-Fixtures design & development.
• Responsible for New Product Development activities and coordinating with customer for timely implementation of products approval requirements till submission / approval of PPAP.
• Conducting Process FMEA, Control Plans.
• Implementation of 7 QC Tools, Kaizen, Pokayoke and 5S activities at the work place.
• Potential Vendor Audits / Existing Vendor Audits / Evaluation of Supplier.

Audit and Inspection of Product and Processes

• Inspection of products at vendors end.
• Regular audit of all critical processes for meeting product/process requirements.
• Plan for finish Product inspection/ testing as per Quality plan & sampling plan.
• Monitor process parameters.
• Suggestion for Product quality up-gradation and improvement of product design.
• Evaluate new technologies and methods to make recommendations regarding their use.
• Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment\xe2\x80\x99s.

Testing of Products and Components

• Testing Products & Components as per Indian Standard and Bajaj Quality plan requirement.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems to reduce customer complaints.
• Timely feedback to design & development for design corrections & improvements.
• Prepare QAP\xe2\x80\x99s, SOP\xe2\x80\x99s, Procedures for new/old products.
• Testing of NPD\xe2\x80\x99s.

MIS

• Comparison and interpretation of test results with specifications and control limits, recommendations on the data for release.
• Testing of all products & components as per Indian Standard and Bajaj Quality plan requirement.
• Compile laboratory test data, Launch Assessment report, Validation report and perform appropriate analysis.
• Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures.
• Technical reports or documentation such as testing protocols, validation reports and trend analysis.

Monitoring of Vendors Performance

• Evaluation of vendor performance score.
• Lead vendors team for improvement in product/ process quality.
• Participate in internal assessments and audits as required at vendor end.
• Monitoring of Vendors CRM data and actions to be taken.

Market Quality - Customer Feedback/ Service Team

• Immediate response on each & every feedback received from service & customer.
• Communication to service/market after improvement.

Competition Study

• Product Benchmarking _ Conduct regular study of major competitor\xe2\x80\x99s product running in market

Qualification: Indicate necessary qualification



Essential: Degree in Engineering in Electrical /Mechanical / Electronics



Desirable: MBA/ Degree in Engineering in Electrical /Mechanical / Electronics




Experience: Indicate necessary experience required to perform the job responsibilities effectively. Please mention if any specific industry experience, profile experience or work experience required.



At least 10 - 15 years of experience in similar area or experience in quality function



Desirable: Exposure to Consumer Durable products



Other Requirements:



Must be physically fit to travel outstation (at least 10 days in a month)



Must have excellent knowledge of Quality tools and its usage
