Program Overview

At WRI India we focus on integrated solutions that can enable a low-carbon transition in India, while ensuring that the transition is equitable and just for its people and protects natural resources. Through applied research, the use of frameworks and tools, partnerships with key stakeholders and ground-level implementation, we seek to achieve impact at scale.

About your role:

We are looking for a Lead - Systems Change Strategies to facilitate the development and focus of program strategies, integrating systems thinking models with WRI\'s approach to enabling evidence-based policy shifts.

The position will work with program teams in WRI India, to initiate and drive these conversations, by facilitating systems mapping and refocusing theories of change and action.

The position will report to WRI India\'s Chief Executive Officer and will collaborate with all teams and verticals in India. The role will also have the support of a Community of Practice in the WRI network on Strategy.

How your day will unfold:

  • Lead and facilitate the development and focus of strategy across programs in WRI India, integrating systems thinking, political economy analysis, and equity considerations.
  • Contribute to the development and conceptualization of new strategic opportunities.
  • Provide capacity building support to the team as needed to drive strategic thinking.
  • Work closely with other functions in the team to ground the strategy, theories of change and link these processes with Monitoring Evaluation and Learning for the organization.
  • Build and maintain a network to access the current and best practices on systems thinking and strategy development for future iterations. Represent WRI India as needed in these fora.
Qualifications and requirements we seek:
  • 8-15 years of total work experience
  • Minimum of 6-8 years working in strategy development, systems change, or organizational learning roles.
  • Master\'s degree in public policy, economics, political science, business, environmental studies, or related field.
  • Knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks (i.e., mental models, logic models) that underpin policy change and social change efforts.
  • Experience in working within/ designing complex systems.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated experience in working on multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with the team and independently.
Location: Delhi, Mumbai. Bengaluru, India

Salary and Benefits: 21,00,000 to 25,00,000 INR CTC Per Annum

Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.

Duration: Term hire as 2 years extendable based on performance and project requirements.
