The core applications include shared platforms such as PEGA, Blueprism or Business Specific applications falling under COTS category such as T24, SAP, Sitecore, MS Dynamics, etc. the list of application exhaustive considering Link Group very diverse application foot print between APAC & EMEA regions for R&SS (Retirement & Super annuities services), CM (Corporate Markets), FS (Fund Services), BCM (Banking & Credit Management) and T&O (Technology & Operations).
The incumbent will be a Senior member of the Pega COE Team and will act as a liaison between the business users, stakeholders and technical leads. The individual will be responsible to work with other Lead System Architects and the business team jointly charting the business and technical strategies. Working in our India Development Hub, this role will interact with and communicate product requirements to architects, engineers, development managers, testings and the other business stakeholders across the Link Group (India, Europe and Australia
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

  • Key Liaison between the business stakeholders and Technical Leads
  • Key Member of the Pega Global COE
  • Working with the Regional LSA Team charting the Business and Technical Strategies
  • Key Member of the Pega Architecture Board to ensure that all Pega Developments are aligned with Link Group Approach and strategy

Requires a broad and comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within own discipline and may be expected to address issues that have an impact beyond the discipline.
Expected to be persuasive and influential in the interactions internally and externally
Influences timelines, expectations and proactively negotiates within department and externally
Exercises control over resources, budget, policy formulation and planning for own team and is accountable for end results
Leads a medium-sized team or multiple small teams
Engagement delivery; depending on the programme set up and roles, instrumental in successful delivery of business outcomes to our clients as part of broader multi-geography delivery teams.


Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
  • Lead a team of developers, configuration and Basis consultants for PEGA and Automation platforms
  • Work to ensure there are no single man dependencies on the team, make sure there is adequate cover for all the roles on the team
  • Produce monthly metrics to support the team’s current workload.
  • Ensuring all the team’s work is delivered to a high quality, following Link standards and processes.
  • Liaise with business on a continuous basis providing feedback on current issues and setting priorities on items in the worklog.
  • Attend project Steering, representing DevOps at the meeting.
  • Engagement with auditors to maintain certifications and annual audit requirements from clients.
  • Drive application stack forward by promoting upgrades and patches to the system.
  • Provide functional leadership to various areas including projects, enhancements and support.
  • Work as Solution Lead interacting with the project managers to provide inputs, and effort estimates to the development of the various project items.
  • Where required bring in external resources to cover project requirements.
  • Ensure all deliverables have been unit tested in compliance to design and functional specifications and provide support to downstream testing such as SIT and UAT.
  • Provide application support for analysis and issue resolution.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of business processes and solution design.
  • Provide and demonstrate leadership to your team members.
  • Complete interim and end of year performance reviews for your team.
  • Complete regular monthly 1-1 with your team members and have weekly team meetings
  • To strive for continuous improvement of both technical and business knowledge
  • To assist with the development of new team standards, methodologies and processes to increase both the quality and efficiency of the development work

  • Work within a team of developers assisting in:

  • Lead and Motivate the team to deliver quality
  • Be a leader from front in knowledge transfer, domain knowledge and delivery excellence
  • Motivate teams by providing them best practices of programming and scripting

Operational Management
  • Maintaining the PEGA systems to ensure that the solution continues to deliver against the business objectives for the PEGA systems.
  • Understand the importance of guardrails and subsequently ensure that application compliance scores are maximised.
  • Awareness of the PEGA application architecture especially the importance of the PEGA ECS and frameworks.
  • Understand rulesets and ensure that they are maintained in accordance with standards.
  • Participate in the development, testing, implementation, and documenting of solutions.
  • A passion to mechanise manual business processes and realise efficiency savings;

Governance & Risk
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Support Link Group assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices
  • Adherence to project KPIs

Experience & Personal Attributes
Primary Skills:
  • Good Communicator and comfortable dealing with all levels of the organisation.
  • Must be having hands-on experience
  • 10+ years plus of PEGA application development and configuration experience.
  • Experience of managing group of PEGA developers
  • PEGA LSA certification is must.
  • Automation Experience will be preferred
  • Proactive & organised

Secondary Skills:
  • Experience of working within the financial sector
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective inter-departmental and organisational relationships
  • Sound organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks to meet strict deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a strong team spirit. Strong work ethic
