About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer...

In this role, you will:

• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications, International:

• Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 14+ years of experience in Python, Big Data, Hadoop and Object Oriented Programming.
• Strong experience in designing and building Rest APIs using python (Django Rest Framework).
• Experience with Multiprocessing, Multithreading, asyncio modules and building asynchronous APIs.
• Should have leadership skills to drive work stream from technical aspects
• Good experience with Python unit test frameworks.
• Strong in data science python libraries like NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• Solid understanding of distributed computing.
• Thoroughly skilled in managing/debugging python api applications
• Experience in managing large data sets of data using python
• Strong experience in any Python web frameworks ORM architecture.
• Strong development and debugging experience in python scripting and automation
• Good Experience/Understanding in Python Full Stack Development(Web Development, API Development/Integration, Data Analytics, Automation, Scripting, ETL and etc...).
• Good skills in big data, PySpark, HDFS and distributed computing.
• Good banking domain skills and depth knowledge in risk domain.
• Good understanding of data models, relationship among the data.
• Design and build reusable solutions in model development life cycle.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in source control using Git.
• T-shaped developer.
• Should possess excellent communication skills, able to multitask and have a great team spirit.
• Knowledge on risk models, input/output data etc
• GIT code management.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (CS/Math/Electronics/Electricals) from top universities like IIT, NIT and other reputed institutes.
• Should be able to take ownership and accountability.
• Should have good leadership skills to help other team

Desired Qualifications:

• Understanding of Python code automatic deployment process
• Agile/Scrum software development methodologies and processes
• Banking domain risk models platform build
• Good experience working with python based IDE like pycharm, Jupyter notebooks etc
• Experience/Understanding of DJANGO API development
• Understanding Oracle or any other RDBMS
• Exposure Cloud Platform like GCP
• Good hands on Experience in NoSQL DB (AWS Couchbase/MongoDB/any other...)
