Purpose Statement

This position reports to the Global Process Steward, and acts as the liaison between the regional service delivery teams and the Global Process Steward. The Regional Process Principal is responsible for coordinating regional process improvement efforts, benchmarking our services against industry standards, and driving standardization and optimization of the OTC end to end processes. The position requires strong collaboration, communications and change management skills as well as significant experience in the end-to-end OTC processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Magellan team to optimize OTC processes, tools, and organization structure
• Work with key stakeholders in the Quote, Billing, Credit, Collections, Cash Applications and other cross-functional organizations (e.g. Sales, Customer Care, Legal, IT) to understand issues and implement best-in-class solutions
• Develop and translate strategy into operational goals and objectives

• Identify root causes of collections and disputes and relevant options to solve
• Drive process standardization and optimization
• Evaluate supporting tools/systems to improve global process
• As a subject matter expert create training material on ideal processes within the OTC cycle
• Partner with stakeholders to develop and ensure Finance Policies for order to cash processes are relevant and current
• Help establish a stronger working relationship between Global Business Services, Finance, Sales, and Business leadership
• Help identify ways to measure Order to Cash targets and other KPIs, establishing a robust monitoring process and proactively identify areas of continuous improvement
• Work with key stakeholders to identify process and policy improvement opportunities and champion a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive automation of OTC processes with AI, RPA & other tools in coordination with the GBS Automation team where feasible and cost effective

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Bachelor\'s degree with emphasis in accounting, business or finance required
• 5-10 years as a practitioner in the Order to Cash process preferably in a leadership role
• 5+ years of relevant working experience in international company with a true global footprint
• Problem-solving skills: Outstanding ability to diagnose problems which could be related to process, technology, strategy, or people and put in place actions/measures.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate diverse, regional teams
• Strong financial acumen to develop business cases that support new or improved service proposals
• Executive presence and influence skills: ability to develop strong, compelling value propositions and influence executive level stakeholders
• Global experience: Self-awareness of communication styles and cultural differences; understanding of business process and style differences
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and internal controls. Solid understanding of the relationship of internal controls and business processes.
• Ability to work independently, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong ability to coordinate action across dispersed workforce
• Competent in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot table etc.)
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and management
• Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication
• ERP technology experience an advantage, including ERP
• Experience driving Collections with automation tools such as GetPaid, Blackline or HighRadius
