About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to be part of the WXPS team and will be responsible for testing and onboarding latest cutting-edge technology platforms and products. The Infrastructure Senior Engineer role will act as an SME to provide application design guidance by leveraging expertise with application technology, system/database configuration, tools, and existing designs. Additionally, this role will act as a subject matter expert for application technologies and will assist with documentation of software/design changes as well as patch management for these systems. In addition, this candidate will need to coordinate with internal and cross organizational peers to ensure successful adoption of software are met within the outlined standards.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Engineering and implementation of enterprise software solutions
    Creation of documentation such as implementation plans and test scripts.
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
  • Contribute to the testing of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery.
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Design complex system upgrades.
  • Design, test cloud VDI solution.
  • Collaboration with vendors and security partners to address security and software issues.
  • Working with QA teams to conduct security, functional, performance analysis and tuning.
  • Coordinating with peers to ensure software and patches are tested and deployed per corporate standards
  • Communicating, reporting and tracking device compliance.
  • Coordination of ongoing product updates for compliance applications.
  • Documentation of upgrade and mitigation plans to be shared with peers.
  • Creation of supporting change request documentation.
  • Working independently or within a team to ensure that task deadlines are met on time and meet the business requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years previous experience in engineering and implementing enterprise software solutions, including embedded and/or bundled 3rd party software components.
  • 5+ years previous experience supporting application and/or patch management processes.
  • Solid understanding of systems patching and enterprise security practices.
  • Solid experience identifying, documenting, and implementing system updates and patches.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server technologies (including physical as well as Virtual Machine technologies) and associated scripting automation tools.
  • Engineering experience with Enterprise-level e-communications systems (e-Mail and e-Mail routing systems, secure e-Mail and/or Unified Communications systems. MS Skype For Business & Teams)
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks according to established scope and timelines.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a high-performance team in a highly dynamic environment.

Required Skills:
  • Previous experience in unified communication domain (Voice/collaboration).
  • Previous experience in cloud VDi, Wave VDi
  • Previous experience in product certification.
  • Previous exposure to unified communication applications (CUCM, CMS, Zoom, Skype, MS Teams....)
  • Previous experience supporting or implementing Vantage / Connected Capture software
  • Previous experience supporting or implementing Microsoft Exchange software
  • Previous experience supporting or implementing Microsoft Skype for Business software
  • Previous experience supporting or implementing Zix Secure e-Mail software
  • Previous experience supporting or implementing Proofpoint Sentrion software
  • Previous experience supporting or implementing Microsoft Teams
  • Scripting experience with technologies such as PowerShell and SQL
  • Understanding of Microsoft Group Policy Objects
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Live Meeting and SharePoint).
  • Candidate must have experience with engineering enterprise software solutions along with documentation required for this software such as implementation plans, test scripts, BCP steps along with failback plans.
  • Knowledge of software / patch management and/or IT security background is helpful and must possess skills to update and track software versions, releases, and remediation tasks.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge on MPLS VPN designs with UC/IPT application transport overlays services.
  • Extensive knowledge of Network Protocols: Ethernet (802.1x, etc) and IP routing (RIP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS) or Firewalls, Access Control List (ACL) Administration.
  • Previous financial services experience or experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience specific to patching and delivery of software updates.
  • Working knowledge of change management processes in an enterprise setting.
  • Knowledge of software and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Exposure to application hosting in a Private Cloud.
