JOB DESCRIPTION Role Proficiency: Design innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize user needs across two or more platforms under the guidance of UX Specialist/ Lead II Outcomes: Take ideas and concepts and visualize them in such a way that they are communicated effectively and compellingly for internal leaders partners and customers Turn visions into concepts and translate those concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite complexity of the system Directly responsible for delivering User Experience visions UI specifications wireframes and visual designs for projects. Function as part of a cross-functional design team and employ a user-centric design methodology to develop new and derivative user interface designs for web and mobile applications. Collaborate effectively with other designers UI Architect Product management and Development team. Assists lead to mentor and support team Works on moderately complex projects/tasks. Assists collaboration with business development research and prototyping and product management to define the next generations of business concepts and solutions Collects reviews and may assist in refining client requirements. Communicates analysis recommendations and potential design solutions verbally and through documentation to the project team. Assists team to stay on top of new trends in usability. Assist in researching best practices in Web Desktop and Mobile application design. Assists team in adhering to standards and processes. Assists team to collect UX metrics to measure and track the impact of design changes on user experience. Measures of Outcomes: Adherence to project schedule / timelines On time completion of mandatory compliance trainings Adherence to Processes and Standards Completion of all mandatory training requirements Outputs Expected: User Research: Participate in user studies and research Documenting user stories and problem statements Information research through data collection Testing: Execution of Concept and usability testing Design: Independently create UX designs Participate in brainstorming sessions on the design by working with other stakeholders Customer orientation: Establish familiarity with customer product branding schemes Documentation: Compile required documentation for the project releases Reporting: Status reporting to team lead Teamwork: Document the best practices for the team members Mentor junior team members Seeks information on issues impacting the progress Project Management: Assist in tracking progress of projects Assist in maintaining metrics Skill Examples: Ability to provide UX/UI design and solutions Break down complex tasks into logical components Assists the lead in mentoring the team Share best practices within the team Follow high level of business etiquette in emails and other business communication Proactively ask for and offer help On time delivery with high quality Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency with any of the usability testing tools or services Proficiency with any of the wireframing/prototyping tools Knowledge Examples: Usability Design Principles Knowledge of Wireframes/Prototyping Data & Information Visualization Knowledge of appropriate Design Skills and Tools Knowledge of business domain Knowledge of Agile methodologies Additional Comments: Experience in user experience and interaction design for web applications or services . Background in user-centered design principles across desktop, mobile, and web platforms . Aptitude for designing large-scale web-based applications. . Experience with designing SaaS services is a plus Key Responsibilities: . Take a user-centered approach to design process and methods . Lead the design process from problem discovery, framing, ideation, iterative development, delivery, and maintenance . Guide and validate design decisions with user research methods and existing data . Learn and balance user and business goals to achieve desirable, viable, and feasible solutions . To be responsible for user research, interaction design, visual design, and content artifacts that communicate design decisions for the user experience and user interface . Partnering and collaborating effectively with researchers, engineers, designers, product owners, and business stakeholders on all initiatives . Evolving and evangelizing our Design System Essential Requirements: . Owning the design decisions and approach in a cross-functional team developing the defined product. Independently discovering customer value and business opportunities of undefined problem spaces. . Determine and craft standard design artifacts (user flows, wireframes, comps, prototypes) that efficiently and effectively communicate intent of design decisions and can support other designers. . Determining the process for applying lean methods to eliminate waste and manage risk . Using design iterations to maximize opportunities for feedback in their work and improve collaboration in a cross-functional team. . Using divergent and convergent thinking methods to explore and prioritize a range of problems and solutions within a cross-functional team. . Seeks out design critique from cross-functional team and facilitates scheduled sessions . Delivering effective written and verbal presentation to their team so that they absorb and understand their points. . Owns validated user needs and motivations as requirements for delivering project or product value Essential to this role: . Strong visual and motion design skills (Visual Hierarchy, Color, Typography, Iconography), Visual Style Guide, Visual Brand Identity, Micro-Interactions . Proficiency with rapid prototyping platforms (e.g, InVision, Adobe XD, Figma,HTML/CSS, Flinto, Hype). . Leveraging Design Language Systems . . Enterprise software design experience in a global context. . . The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. . . Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills the ability to communicate complex concepts clear and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of organization. . User Interview Scripts, Facilitating User Interviews, Synthesis & Insights . Prioritization Techniques, Jobs to Be Done, Risks & Mitigation, Empathy Maps, User Journey, Service Blueprinting, Lean Experiments, Interaction Models .
