What You\'ll Do

Birdeye is looking for a passionate individual to join our fast-paced engineering team as a Lead Engineering Services.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Provide 1st level support
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Investigates problem areas.
• Follows the software development lifecycle.
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programmin
• Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.

Requirements

Total Experience: 5 Years

Work Hours -US Central Business hours [6.30 PM to 3.30 AM- IST]

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s and/or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• 5+ years of professional software support experience
• Proficiency in Java or C++, and object-oriented design skills
• Experienced in leading a team of 3-4 members
• Application architecture and design patterns
• Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS
• Experience with monitoring systems
• Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef)
• Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
• "Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle,
• from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation,
• delivery and maintenance is preferred"
• "Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards,
• code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations"
