Overview:

In this role, the Lead Engineer will actively participate in Sustenance Engineering and provide onsite technical support to Aircraft Evacuation Systems Operations in Bangalore and work with Cross functional team

Position: Lead Engineer - Mechanical Design (P2)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in Engineering Change Management Process
• Provide technical support to BLR Evacuation Systems Operations and working with Cross functional team.
• Experience on CI \xe2\x80\x93 Lean and/or 6 sigma / Root Cause Analysis
• Ability to read, understand and create technical drawings, sketches
• Working knowledge on CAD application - CREO 2.0 or above
• Create 2D pattern drawing by extracting surface data from 3D models
• Proficiency in CAD softwares (2D) - AutoCAD, keycreator and other CAD (3D) \xe2\x80\x93 Catia, Unigraphics is desired
• Should have knowledge in GD&T (ASME 14.5)
• Work experience on PLM tool -Teamcenter, SAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft office \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Excel, and Presentation
• Communicates with business units in USA (effective written and verbal communication is required for the purpose of achieving successful job performance)
• Working with BLR Operations team onsite(site 4 and site 1) and US customers
• Team Player and Interpersonal skill to work with cross functional team
• Attention to details to ensure high quality work to customers

Basic Qualifications:

• 4 to 6 years of Industry experience in Engineering Change Management, Sustenance Engineering, Redesign, CAD Activities and Manufacturing process
• Bachelor\'s/Master\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Process
• Minimum 4 year experience in CAD application, Creo 2.0 or above
• Knowledge on machine design, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Sound Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals and experience on manufacturing problem solving
