Work with the latest innovations As a Lead Engineer-Mechanical Component, you\'ll be responsible to design & develop control valve products, solutions and systems. It also includes activities linked to the technical improvement of existing products and components. You are required to have a mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge. As a Lead Engineer - Mechanical Component, you will be responsible for: Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and standards. Executing and Guiding in the configuration of Control Valves based on customer requirements and also designing valve components. Executing and guiding other engineering resources in the Configuration of the Control Valves based on customer requirements and also in designing valve components Having a good understanding and experience in Control Valves (Globe / Angle / Rotary) - General / Severe Service Applications Having exposure to the valve sizing and selection including applications, MOC, NDTs, etc Developing /configuring valves/actuator designs and leading the design reviews as needed. Act as a bridge between the site team and the CTH community in terms of defining and documenting the review requirements and review outcomes. Guiding/mentoring/leading a group of configuration/ design engineers working across sites on control valves/actuators. Having experience in problem-solving related to product performance by collaboratively working together with plant & global cross-functional teams. Reviewing and helping to define the material and quality requirements for the control valve components based on applications and customer requirements. Enabling the use of design tools (like 2D / 3D CAD (SolidWorks / ProE / UG), Excel, and in-house design calculations Working with the design team to strategize and guide them to improve productivity using design automation. Drive cost-out on products and VCP in transactions/processes. Preparing and presenting technical data to internal and external customers. Be the face of the Requisition Engineering Team in the customer /supplier discussions to communicate the team objectives and requirements. Engaging with teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives. Identify, Own and Enable such initiatives which are in line with business objectives. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have a BE/BTech in Mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college. Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in an Engineering Design / Analysis /Scientific / Technical Position. Have at least 6 years of Control Valve Design Expertise with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the lead position. Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others and lead small teams. Have knowledge of control valve instrumentation including pneumatic/hydraulic actuators for valves and associated accessories.
