Summary As Lead Engineer, you will execute design programs while owning hardware on GE90/GP FAN and HPC module. In this role, you will be responsible to maintain part for the life cycle of the engine including aspects on solving, field issue resolution, RCA, TOPS8D, Quality Issue, Repair, and cost reduction. you will manage field issues, lead service\'s contract profitability, and deliver solutions that meet business needs within functional area(s) of expertise Roles and Responsibilities Independently own and execute GE90/GP Fan and HPC Rotor programs requiring design, analysis, test, or integration to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements Be the first point of contact from LCE on any query from sourcing/supplier/fleet/repair/customer Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures Collaborate and Communicate with all stakeholders on project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate Responsible to support shops for Departure record resolution and shop visit cost reduction Should network & establish strong connections with Commodity CTHs, Cross functions teams viz. Shop, SC, Repair, MAE, CTPs and Shop technical teams to achieve the desired outcomes for module Demonstrate clear thinking, strong technical articulation, manage handoffs between different organizations. Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules, and customer commitments. Leverage digital tools & analyze the data insights to drive appropriate actions on ESM limit extensions, special procedures, etc Adopt Lean in day-to-day work for process improvements Demonstrate collaborative work style and team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally Required Qualifications Bachelors/ Master\'s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Minimum of 4 years of experience in Aviation Engines or Turbo machinery Engineering position (design, analysis, systems, services) Strong Design creativity and problem-solving capabilities Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization both internally and externally Desired Characteristics Experience with GE Aviation engineering design methodology & hardware knowledge of frames/structures/casings Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities Understanding of manufacturing & inspection processes, repair methods Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and networks both within GE & with Suppliers About Us GE is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
