Job Title: Lead Engineer I - Verification and Validation

Job Function:

Accountable for schedule and smooth execution of all USM Test Automation, MeterLink and assigned firmware test projects in test group. Perform MeterLink and Firmware testing activities like Test Setup, Test Development, Execution & Test artifacts generation and contribute to smooth execution of all test Projects of Ultrasonic Flow Meter products. Work with MeterLink Development Team, Firmware Development team during test development and testing. Participate in Peer Reviews and support product development and organization initiatives. Organize and execute test activities by using formal test methodology and effective Test Automation, in addition to reviewing the activities of other test team members to test Ultrasonic Flow Meter products (includes MeterLink, Firmware and HART DDs).

Representative Duties:

Responsible for test activities for MeterLink Testing i.e. single POC(point of contact) for MeterLink

Become and Expert of USM MeterLink and Firmware product &Technically lead USM Test Automation team. Lead the assigned Test Activity and take complete ownership of the same.

Support and mentor USM test team members.

Demonstrate Technical Ownership for successful delivery of MeterLink Automation Pilot Project with Indium. Derive this experience in Test team and start in house Automation Project for other USM modules.

Responsible for assigned USM test planning activities like defining test strategy, creating test plan, planning test schedule for test development and regression test, developing test designs and test strategies to ensure product quality and the quality of testing

Review the deliverables from USM MeterLink and Firmware test group and ensure that all deliverables meets expectation from BU. Responsible for addressing critical review comments related to MeterLink deliverables and assigned Firmware deliverables.

Ensure right tools, technologies and platforms are chosen for the testing. Improve test execution by using right tools and technologies. Ensure existing test tools like InterfaceAPI.dll is maintained

Track and capture metrics for test schedule, test quality, test configuration management and test project management documents

Maintain high degree of source control; manage bug tracking, change requests and improvement logs

Develop test objectives, test cases, test inputs and test procedures for product testing. Ensure test optimum test coverage.

Guide and perform peer review of test objectives, test cases, test inputs, test scripts and test procedures created by other test engineers to ensure quality.

Review requirements (MeterLink, Mark III, and Mark XX) to ensure they are complete and testable.

Responsible for test setup management, test setup hygiene and implement methods for repeatability with minimum maintenance

Ownership of Interface API dll development.

Establishing guidelines and best practices to be implemented throughout the group to ensure an effective test development process and well tested products

Assist in training and developing team members in software testing best practices. Supervise junior test engineer in team for day to day activities.

Work well in a structured but agile environment conforming to CMM standards. Work with other project teams to identify, select / prioritize development of future projects

Technical skills:

Proficient working with Test Automation

Knowledge of industrial protocols like HART, Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, CAN

Knowledgeable in Windows GUI based Test management, and GUI and Firmware test automation tools, preferable is TestComplete

Hands on experience with developing test framework

Hands on experience scripting language like Jscript (preferred), Java Script, VB Script and/or C language in earlier roles of the candidate\'s career

Proficient with Configuration management and version control processes

Thorough understanding of software development life-cycle and familiarity with CMM model.

Expert in reviewing Technical Artifacts generated by Test Team

Other required skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent efforts estimation skill

Reporting accurate status in weekly meeting with the stakeholders

Presentation/Mentoring/Coaching skills

Experience in working with internal and external partners

Foster and maintain positive relationships with local and global test team members.

Directly to Team Lead Or Test Manager
