About the role:

In the Software Engineer II role - Focus is on being a strong technology driven, thinking, and responding to changes, owning the product development, Responsible for programming, unit testing, documentation, maintenance, and support of systems application for one of the top competitive products in Investment Accounting across the globe.

It translates to being engaged in several projects with focus on timely delivery, quality, productivity.

Knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM

Domain Knowledge on Investment Accounting would be an added advantage.

What you will be doing:

Extensive experience of software/service solutions delivered on a hosted and managed basis

Experienced with building/testing of complex, multi-platform, distributed applications

Knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM

Experienced with all major development and delivery phases and activities

Knowledge of the financial services marketplace

Good understanding of Tools (Debugging / performance) is required

Has participated in the full spectrum of delivery activities on multiple development projects

Collaborate with the application support/ service teams to ensure smooth transition of applications into their BAU environments

What you will need:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer engineering/ Computer Science.

Year of Experience: 5 to 7 years

Strong hands-on experience in Cobol, VSAM and DB2.

Prefer candidates from Capital Markets/Asset Management Domains

Exposure to Unix platform and scripting will be added advantage

Experience in using Agile / Lean practices and methodologies.
