The role owner is responsible for Leading teams who manage the Material Master Process in SAP for sites and categories to enable the procurement teams to procure the materials with the approved source with the correct commercial conditions. The Lead ensures the teams across Prague, KL and Hyd will work through the demands for MM updates in a timely manner to fulfill procurement requirements. All the data like info-records, source lists etc. will need to be kept up-to-date in alignment with the Category Procurement team. A very strong focus on customer service and end user satisfaction is required. He/ she will act as a Lead for MM and represent the team in sites and countries. Furthermore he/she will drive standardizing and automation in close collaboration with the Operations and the Category Procurement team. Lead will also ensure that the agreed standardized model is implemented in the sites across the Novartis sites.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for driving the vision of the NTO Transformation Project until all of the countries are part of the standard process.
  • Developing and Implementing solid guidelines, procedures and processes for each country specific, ensuring quality improvement through automations, standardization and mitigating non-cooperation and country specific issues that impact the business. Leading all of the technical issues and aligning IT where ever required to deliver business value.
  • Function acts as a functional expert (SME) within the Procurement & Supply Chain teams for resolving and mitigating MM issues. (Accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency and validity)
  • Provide guidance and set standards of functional excellence in methodologies, processes, and SOPs to enable enhancement of Globally accepted MM operations.
  • Being a champion for MM who will liaise with the Procurement teams to define align and incorporate measurable impact to the NGSC.
  • Work with the team members and be responsible for executing defined Category / Divisional / Regional / Country strategic and non-strategic projects for a site/country.
  • Evaluating the demands for MM and being responsible for challenging and validating demand for all requirements across the cross cultural teams. Work in harmony with multiple team members based out of KL, Prague and Hyd.
  • Being the face of the MM process for participating, contributing & leading where ever needed for all of the LDC projects. Work with the team and ensure implementation of source lists / contracts as a result from Category/Divisional/Country projects and monitor correct usage. Responsible for specific Master Data Management processes to build, extend and share knowledge within self-directed working teams

Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Business fluent in English
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar position(s)
  • Experience in Leading teams, good understanding of operations and business culture of multinational company, cross cultural working, international experience is a basic requirement.
  • Post Graduation (or similar education) in fields such as business administration, finance, engineering, scientific or technical fields. CIPS or similar qualification desirable.
