The Position As Lead Projects Obesity, you will conceptualise, create and implement strategic initiatives and programs to build awareness of obesity and enable increase in patients seeking treatment of obesity. You will identify key levers and tactics and support systems that will be required to facilitate better awareness and treatment of Obesity. You need to understand the patient and the customer journey and identify potential barriers to change and lay out a strategic road map to address barriers.
Lead Projects Obesity will network with relevant HCPs (Healthcare Professionals) & HCOs (Healthcare Organisations) to showcase and strengthen the efforts and position Novo Nordisk as a preferred healthcare partner in treating Obesity in India. You will be responsible for project implementation against the KPIs, milestones, budgets and governance.

  • Lead the development and implementation of local Obesity projects by creating awareness of Novo Nordisk in and amongst the Obesity Market with support of Project Managers and Patient Access Specialists and ensuring effective implementation of strategic access initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships/ partnerships with key healthcare institution bodies in India i.e., AIAARO (All India Association for Advancing Research in Obesity), OSSI (Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society of India), ESI (Ellyn Satter Institute) etc.
  • Lead the preparation of Market Access plans, working cross-functionally with Commercial and Medical Affairs departments, to ensure that the Patient Access Programs are an effective part of the Field Force Business Plan.
  • Leverage insights captured through external engagements to advocate for the design, analyses and communication of messages that resonate with local patients, payers, health care providers and other decision-makers.
  • Own the end-to-end execution of the approved medical education, awareness and activation plans by working very closely in the project structure with medical, marketing and sales team across regions.

Qualifications
  • You hold a full-time Bachelors’ degree in Pharma or a Life Science and an MBA in Management/Operations Research/Statistics
  • You should hold more than 10 years of experience in Business Development, Market Shaping, Marketing or Market Access with international pharmaceutical company
  • Prior Team Management experience is a plus
  • Prior experience from handling Product launches and Market Development initiatives is an advantage.

About the department Novo Nordisk India affiliate office is in Bengaluru & has more than 1,500 people working across the country in various functions. Lead Obesity Projects position is based at Bengaluru and reports to the Business Unit Head.
