Job Title – Lead - Software Engineering The Purpose of This Role As a Lead Engineer, you will focus on both the front and back end technologies, working directly with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements and help convert clients into Fidelity’s systems. Lead will guide the team in execution of day-to-day activities, define and lead initiatives to continually improve performance and achieve organizational goals. You will be a part of the implementation team in India and would always be responsible for technical and domain development ensuring quality. The Value You Deliver The Lead Software Engineer will play a role in the conversion and implementation of WI client data. This individual will be responsible for the creation of quality code in technologies like the T-SQL, Excel, Informatica that would be used to implement Fidelity’s workplace customers. The Lead Software Engineer will work closely with the project manager, systems analysts, data conversion consultant, and other developers to code, audit, create reports and deliver the best experience for the customers’ first interaction with Fidelity. Responsibilities of the role includes

• Interact with business and technical partners to design, develop, and test software applications and systems changes that address business needs.
• Able to work collaboratively with off-shore associates; providing assistance, direction and coordination etc. to ensure project success
• Responsible for migrating software code deliverables and technical solutions through the development, test and production environments.
• Be accountable for supporting technical solutions through the Systems Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Implementation Phases.
• Participate in quality control measures including peer code reviews.
• Manage individual tasks and deliverables in order to complete projects on schedule.
• Participant effectively in meetings, calls, etc. in a wide variety of roles ranging from facilitator, to requestor, to solutions coordinator, to consultant.

  • Domain knowledge of Retirement Services is a plus
  • Displays a full understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning.

• Required Technical skills
  • 6+ years of work Experience on T-SQL, SQL Server / Sybase , MS Access , MS Access.
  • Experience with Informatica or any ETL tool
  • Should possess strong concepts in programing languages and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of Python will be good to have
  • Exposure to Distributed Technology like JAVA, Angular will be an added advantage.
  • Strong technical skills including a broad understanding of relational databases, file processing, application and web-enabling technologies
  • Ability to execute automated and/or manual functional or non-functional tests and report results

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or any other discipline
• 6+ years’ experience in the T-SQL, SQL Server/Sybase
• Financial services industry experience preferred
• Experience working on technical teams highly desired
