You will be the Lead Architect within a business area that has true customer and colleague impacts. You will create L0, L1, L2 Architectures in keeping with the business providing a technical solution for customer and colleagues. In owning the technical solution, you will provide an end to end assurance that satisfies business needs. . You will be the technology expert to whom that business area trusts to realise their aspirations as to how they can best drive their business forward in helping our customers. . You will challenge the status quo things don\'t change by themselves, so new thinking is welcomed and applauded. We need you to provide a fresh perspective that not only protects the brand but also re-energises Barclays as a bank with technology at its heart. . You will continuously collaborate with a team of like-minded architects, encouraging each other to find the right technology solutions for the business areas . You will own the architectural future of multiple technology platforms. Being the platform custodian, you will ensure that any developments align to the overall Barclays technology strategy. What we\'re looking for: We are looking for someone with real world architecture experience is essential with practical experience of defining enterprise wide technical solutions, documenting them and driving them to delivery. . Experience in systems integration projects is a pre-requisite . Able to exhibit technical leadership throughout the project life cycle . Experience in architecting end to end solutions including application/infrastructure integration . Able to demonstrate previous evidence of drive, energy, commitment, and enthusiasm Skills that will help you in the role: . Experience of shaping and defining solutions across disparate technologies that enable you to resolve a complex business issue with a simple and cost effective technology based solution. . A broad and deep knowledge of technologies (including infrastructure technologies) that are used by financial service providers. . Expertise in at least one or more technologies used by the bank, specifically Salesforce or Cloud technology. . Experience of working with senior stakeholders to influence their thinking about what is possible through technology innovation. . Experience of working in a highly regulated environment. . The ability to exhibit deep technical understanding conveyed through crisp solution design walkthroughs. . A never-say-die attitude to resolving complex business problems through ground breaking technical solutions. Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications: . Functional/Domain experience in Banking/Cards/Loans. . Product Processing - Specialised/Deeper financial services product/business/process knowledge. . Integration - Knowledge in Integration patterns especially in a Cloud Native, Streaming, Domain Driven Design world. . Data - Knowledge in Data Platforms especially in a Cloud Native, Streaming, Domain Driven Design world. . Application/Infrastructure/Enterprise Architect training and certification, e.g. TOGAF. . AWS Solution Architect certification - Associate level is highly desirable. . Hands-on experience in architecting cloud solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP) . Experience of Modern Architecture patterns e.g. Domain Driven, Event Based, Data lakes, API (e.g. MicroServices, Service Mesh, GraphQL/REST etc.). . Experience of working with service management teams. . Exposure to API design strategies both for internal and external customer usage . Knowledge of technologies (including infrastructure technologies) that are used by financial service providers. . Ability to manage technical product selection process, scope & execute Tech spikes/PoCs. . Experience of working in a highly regulated environment. . Breadth of knowledge across Containers (ECS/Kubernetes/Docker), Monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana), No SQL DB/PostgreSQL, Data Model, Machine Learning tools etc. . Ability to understand Threat Vectors in cloud environment and design associated security/controls. . Hands-on experience with open source and proprietary technologies. .
