Title: Lead Architect - Product Engineering Years of experience: 12-15 Years Location: Bangalore Job Purpose Statement Product Engineering team in India is part of Sungard AS’ global product engineering team. We are working on next generation of cloud platform using VMware based managed hosted private cloud. We also are working on developing various disaster recovery (DR) products for production workloads located on-premises data centers or public clouds such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). The team in India is mix of skilled software developers, systems engineers, architects who are strong on infrastructure and cloud platform. We practice agile development process with strong focus on CI/CD, DevOps. Key Responsibilities

• Work with product manager, product owner, and other stake holders to understand, analyse requirements for products.

• Create and document design, architecture of technical solutions for Sungard AS Recovery Services’ products

• Present, articulate to and solicit feedback from various engineering, development and operations teams

• Carry out research, PoC into emerging and existing technologies related to above strategic initiatives

• Work within sprints along with other team members to deliver features in agile mode.

• Work with existing engineering and operations teams to understand existing infrastructure and offering, and take advantage of current best practices

• Mentor team members technically, troubleshoot issues, help in effort estimation of features

Technical Competencies (Experience and Knowledge) You need to be strong on software architecture in general. Any exposure to infrastructure and/or cloud domain/technologies will be added advantage but it is not must. Skills and Behavioral Competencies

• Experience with development using any of the modern programming languages such as Python (preferred) or Java, full stack experience preferred

• Strong in design patterns, data structures, workflows, enterprise integration

• Automation (Any of Puppet, Ansible (preferred), Python, PowerShell, Ruby, etc).

• Strong experience with frameworks, orchestration technologies

• Strong experience with REST APIs, CLI

• Strong experience with DevOps tools and processes

• Familiarity with VMware and infrastructure

• Experience in Recovery and backup domain Has the potential to grow into a larger role with additional responsibilities.
