Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs around the world serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis.

Missions and Responsibilities

Our Organic Lab specializes in a wide variety of measurements including QC/QA, Failure Analysis and R&D support. We utilize a large number of techniques for this work including ATD-GC-MS, FTIR, Raman Spectroscopy, UV-Vis, TGA/DSC, GC/GC-MS, HPLC/HPLC-MS and NMR. The candidate will work in an exciting, fast-paced and dynamic environment and be part of an enthusiastic team passionate about providing quality data and answers to our customers in a timely manner. Working Shift: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)

Responsibilities:

• Follow established SOPs
• Sample login, tracking, and returns using a LIMS system
• Sample transfers between different laboratories
• Sample kit preparation and inventory management
• Sample preparation for organic analyses
• Routine analysis using various methods
• Enter test results into LIMS in a timely and accurate manner
• Sample waste consolidation and disposal
• Responsible for the documentation of quality control standards and analytical results
• Responsible for compliance with 5S
• Meets and exceeds all company safety procedures and standards

Requirements:

• High school degree (or equivalent) with 3-5 years industrial laboratory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 year of analytical lab experience
• Ability to be flexible and to switch tasks according to customer needs and priorities.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to work some holiday & weekend coverage as required.
• Good computer skills are required (analytical instrumentation software, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills.
• Must have initiative and be self-motivated.
• Good organizational and record keeping skills.

Preferred:

BS in Chemistry or Similar Science and 1-2 years of industrial laboratory experience
