  • The Technical Support Resource needs to have at least a working knowledge of database management, basic knowledge of operating system and programing languages.
  • The candidate should be able to perform and manage Low to Medium production (Technical) support tasks and activities that require good subject matter knowledge regarding application, and its functionality along with the key technology on which the application is developed (e.g., incident, change, problem management, controls, monitoring production processing).
  • Escalate to next level (L2 / L3) depending on the complexity of the incident / problem.
  • Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
  • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve system issues.
  • Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Rollout communications in case of planned or unplanned outages. Handle day to day user's queries and issues using emails, calls or chat.
  • Follow the release deployment and prepare/rollout key release features.
  • Follow user issues through to completion to ensure resolution and user satisfaction have been achieved.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Has good hands-on experience with DB2 SQL, ETL and IBM DataStage.
  • Should be good in Communication,Techical Report Writing and doing Root Cause Analysis.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts (morning, evening, or night)
  • Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's / Master's degree in CS/IT or an equivalent qualification.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Experience of systems management using IBM virtualization technologies (VIO)
  • Experience of installing, configuring and upgrading infrastructure systems, experience of NIM
  • To identify & take ownership of issues found and resolve at earliest opportunity according to priority and impact.
  • Investigate the root-cause of incidents and look to implement fixes where possible rather than work arounds.
  • To follow change management processes as defined for your perimeter
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated and work well with other groups
