Role overview Mainframe Modernization Consultant (J2EE) Job Locations in India: Hyderabad, Bangalore or Pune Brief summary of position and its responsibilities: Assist customers in modernizing legacy mainframe applications that can fully leverage the AWS Cloud. Achieving success will require coordination across many internal AWS teams and external AWS Partners Work with various modernization tools and products to modernize mainframe (primarily automated refactoring using a tool-based approach) Independently develop/test the modernized application code for functionality and performance in the target AWS cloud environment Help customer in designing the target state architecture Deliver Migration & Total Operating cost estimation Assist customers in cutover and handover process Build re-usable mainframe modernization artefacts Provide necessary trainings to Customer, partner and internal teams What are the \'Must Haves\' and \'Nice to Haves\' Must have Experience in legacy modernization (refactor,re-host,re-write) from mainframe to AWS platform Experience in conducting functional testing in legacy modernization scenario Application development experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Angular, Apache Groovyand Maven Scripts Development experience in MS SQL Server/ DB2 LUW/ PostgreSQL as one of the backend databases.
