Blue Planet www.blueplanet.com, the software division of Ciena, provides best-in-class intelligent automation software and niche professional services to help clients modernize their IT and network operations. Driven by policy and AI-based insights, Blue Planet delivers the closed-loop automation tools needed to align IT and networking processes\xe2\x80\x94critical to facilitating digital transformation and an adaptive network.

• Mentoring and support both within in the immediate team and in the wider Blue Planet organisation
• Independent working with strong collaboration within a global team
• Attending calls, presenting work, discussion with project stakeholders
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform
• Design, develop and execute software solutions to address business issues
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with coding or design
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

The Must Haves:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Computer Science with 8 CGPA & Above
• 85% & above in secondary and twelfth grade
• 0-1 years of professional software development experience
• Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills
• Experience with crafting highly interactive web applications with performance, scalability, accessibility, usability, design, and security in mind
• Proven software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational and Graph databases
• Ability to work in an Agile environment
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

Highly desirable but not mandatory assets :

• Familiar with building sophisticated web applications using Angular, Java and Spring, Kafka
• Knowledge of Scala, Python programming language
• Knowledge of development tools such as Git, Jira, Bitbucket
• Familiarity with CI frameworks such as Jenkins, Grafana, Docker, Kubernetes
